Kyria was a superb location on a pedestrian street - right next to the Acropolis with stunning views from the rooftop where breakfast was served. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Accommodations were small but with all the amenities needed for a stay in the heart of Plaka !! I would recommend Kyria for your Athens stay

This was probably the best location to stay at if you wanted to see the interesting sights in Athens. The Acropolis back entrance was just a few feet away. My wife and kids loved the property!

Magda and the rest of the staff were exemplary. You really couldn’t be closer to the Acropolis than our unique room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

The staff were lovely, but the hotel was filthy- not what I would expect from a 5 star. I actually don’t believe this is a 5 star hotel. Although the staff were lovely, the breakfast was substandard. One day there was even mould on the yoghurt being served. Also, the bread was left out for hours and so it was always stale

Great place
Excellent location. Close to Subway, Plaka with in steps. Near all the major attractions. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Stairs are a bit steep, but overall, a nice, comfortable place to unwind after a full day of site seeing and shopping. When we return to Greece will plan on staying here again.

Kyria is the perfect location from which to explore all athens has to offer. Central and walkable to many of the attractions and very close to the tram. From here you can reach the entire city as well as the sea.

The staff and property are wonderful. This is a perfect location in Athens to reach the Acropolis and other amazing archaeological sites, and to access all areas. The nearby restaurants and shopping of the beautiful Plaka area is very convenient.

Best thing about this place is the location. Very close to the acropolis and the acropolis museum. Lots of very nice restaurants nearby. Right next to lots of shops and quaint walking streets and alleys. The breakfast spread was lacking a bit, but the rooftop patio was nice.

The absolute best feature of this hotel is location. You are steps away from the acropolis and right in the heart of the old city. Rooms are basic but adequate. The listing on Expedia is a little over sold. There are steep stairs to the room, even steeper to the rooftop terrace. Lobby is nonexistant. That said, service is excellent and helpful - cars booked for us, good breakfast and a view to die for from the terrace. Might not be the best, but fair for the price paid.

Place was awesome with its view, but beware elderly patrons as the walk to breakfast was extremely steep stairs with no handrail.

Kyria Boutique Hotel
Location and service make this property a 5, however the room is “tired”. The front door does not deadbolt, couch is old, lots of cracked paint. There were some temperature issues with the shower. While we would stay there again it is because the location is incredible and the staff (Magelana & the breakfast server) were both so helpful and friendly.
Frame over fireplace with no picture.
Wires hanging down from both televisions
No full length closet
Location! To be able to sit and eat breakfast on the rooftop is priceless and the in the evening sit with a glass of wine.

It all comes down to expectations. I understand that the person who set up the profile was supposed to make the facility look as good as possible. But… it really isn’t accurately represented by the photos or descriptions. A very nice place…. But definitely not what I expected.

Close to everything
We love everything about this hotel. It’s almost next door to the Acropolis and Metro. Right in front are stores and restaurants. Love the room it has so much character in it

Great short stay. Easy walkable access to the the sites. Lots of local eateries. Near to Metro and plenty of taxis nearby for sightseeing in other areas. Staff very pleasant and accommodation was comfortable and close to the Parthenon and Acropolis which is what we needed.

We could not have picked a better location to enjoy Athens historical sites and the PLaka tourist area. It was perfect for a vacation without taxis. Hotel is quaint, feels like you are in old Athens. Great part of the experience.

A Hidden Gem
Cannot beat the location, the hospitality of the staff and the cleanliness of the room. Less than a ten minute walk from the entrance of the Acropolis, 12 minute walk to the Plaka Square and 2 mins walk to the Acropolis Metro Station. My daughter and I felt safe at all times of the day and night in the area which was close to many restaurants and shops. Breakfast up the quaint stairs was on the roof and was available every morning. The Hotel has an intimate feel boasting its own historical significance, a vintage haven.

Family vacation in Athens
The boutique is close to the entrance of the Acropolis. There are shops & restaurants; and the Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus is only a block away. The studio rooms make you feel like you are at home. Personnel were very pleasant and went out of their way to help us with our other needs.

Very convenient sport right next to the Acropolis, 1 minute walk. We needed to park in a side street and walk to the accommodation. Would be fine for motorcycles, you could park right outside. Very short walk down the street to many cafes & restaurants. We walked down to the 24 hr laundromat also. Breakfast was on the rooftop under umbrellas.

I arrived at Kyria Boutique Hotel earlier than expected and my room was ready. Magdalene was an amazing host and the room was lovely. As a solo traveller I felt safe but was also walking distance to everything I needed. The Acropolis entry was about 10 metres from my door. The hop on hop off bus was about 10 metres in the other direction and made this the perfect venue to base myself. The bed was comfy and the sound of music in the evenings and chatter from the restaurants added to the charm. I used earplugs and slept well each night. This is definitely a place I'd come back to.

This property is located in the heart of Plaka and all the key tourist attractions. The staff is wonderful, it's a great location if you are traveling as a couple who wants to walk out into the middle of all the action - shopping, eating, touring. It can be loud on the weekends at night as people are out having a good time. The staircase going up could be challenging for those who have mobility issues. But it was perfect for our needs.

We chose the Kyria for its location near the historic sites in Athens. You can’t find a better location for walking to those sites! From the front door of the hotel, it’s a two minute walk to the entrance to the Acropolis. Numerous restaurants are just around the corner, and shopping is outside the door. The hotel is an historic house, with only five rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Magdalena at the reception desk recommended very good restaurants for dinners, and arranged airport taxis. The furnishings in our room were old, but well maintained. The only negatives are the two staircases. The stairs to the main floor are somewhat steep and only have a handrail along part of their length. To reach the rooftop terrace which serves as the breakfast dining area, you must climb a narrow spiral staircase like those found in a lighthouse. However, once on the rooftop terrace, the view of the Acropolis is spectacular! We especially enjoyed having a glass of wine at sunset while watching the Acropolis illuminate. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with limited mobility, but for anyone else, you can’t beat the price and location for a visit to the historic center of Athens!

We stayed in the Jr. Acropolis Suite and it was perfect. Comfy bed, great bathroom, plenty of hot water The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating, always with a smile. Breakfast on the rooftop was more than we ever expected -- far beyond the typical continental breakfast. Wow! And the location couldn't be better, with the Acropolis entrance, Acropolis museum & metro within a block away, and other sights and dining/shopping an easy walk away. The only negative would be the narrow stairway up to the room, but hey, it's a 19th century home so, welcome to Athens! I'd definitely come back. Thanks ladies! You helped make our stay in Athens the best.

Lovely rooms in the heart of tourist Athens.
Two couples shared the small but very private courtyard accessed through a separate door. Both units had separate good-sized "living rooms" and large king-sized bedrooms with comfortable beds. The upstairs suite was lovely with a huge tub and new fixtures in the bath. The downstairs suite is in need of some work. Both rooms had lovely boutique features such as a drinks cabinet with limoncello and a few lovely old pieces like a dressing table. Breakfast was on the roof and was good. There were some pots of flowers and the same amount of empty planters. A few petunias or geraniums would've turned these spaces into something truly spectacular. However, if it's location that's important, this couldn't be better.

A jewel right under the Acropolis and close to Plaka. Beautiful boutique rooms in a very quirky building. Magda was very helpful and gave a warm welcome. Breakfast on the roof terrace definitely a highlight both in terms of the superb selection and looking out at the Parthenon. Highly recommend
