The surrounding area is known for golfing, hunting, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling and Off Road Vehicle riding in the plentiful nearby state land.
This is a single family home in a lakefront neighborhood. The home has laundry facilities available as well as ramp access for the handicapped. Two bedrooms have king beds and one has a queen size bed. There are 2 pull out sofas queen size as well.
A Full kitchen with dinnerware, pots and pans is available to make that up north breakfast. Serve it in the dining room right off the kitchen or at the kitchen snack bar.
The swimming beach is a short distance from the house and fishing is available right off the dock in front.
Enjoy s’mores at the fire pit as you catch fish at the dock.
View the beautiful sunset right from the deck overlooking the lake.
Journey out to catch a glimpse of the Elk herd in the area. Atlanta is the Elk capital of Michigan.
In the spring time Morel mushrooms can be found in the forests.
It is only a short distance to town to pick up any supplies needed.

Girls Weekend

Had a great time here, good space for a girls weekend. We were rained in but were able to still enjoy our time together. The house was clean and cozy. The bistro in Atlanta was a great place for lunch.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Some may call the property dated but we felt it just added to the ambiance of the whole place. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing!!! The home is large enough so that we were not all over each other. We would stay here again when we are in the area!!!

Great stay

Our hunting group thoroughly enjoyed the property. Everything was clean, neat and we had everything we needed after coming in for an all day cold hunting day. Communication was on point and accommodating. I would highly recommend to anyone and will plan on staying again.

Affordable and Relaxing Getaway

Having a father who is sick and recently adding a few new children, my family/group decided to give up on tents this year and find something a little more accommodating to our needs. I found this listing and immediately booked it in March for the Fourth of July weekend 2017. I didn't bother the owners much, but I had a few questions that I would ask through the Home Away app. They always responded within 24 hours with an answer which made planning very easy. I didn't speak with anyone on the phone until a half hour before our arrival, but was pleasantly surprised when Pat answered and was very kind and welcoming. They both met us at the destination to show us around and give us some info. They stopped by the chamber of commerce and picked up a bunch of local information for us since we were out of town including the sale add from the local grocery store. They were very kind people and they were very inviting. There was a basket on the kitchen counter filled with everything you need to make Smores. The fire pit was filled with kindling and ready to go. Soon after they left i called to see if they had life vests for the paddle boat and sure enough... They did. They had them there, along with some reading for the kids within 15 minutes. There was 12 of us starting there. 8 adults and 4 kids. And there was plenty of room for all of us. The house was clean, a little dated, but exactly as you'd expect for an "Up North" house on a lake. The kids and adults all enjoyed themselves immensely. It was a perfect getaway. Especially for the price. I could keep going all day, but I hope to stay again soon. Pat and George were great house guests and I appreciate them sharing it with us.

Nice home in up north small town

Pat and George, Thank you both for a lovely home to stay in! The a/c was greatly appreciated, as it was so hot. Your guests will love it going forward! We were all very disappointed that we were told we could float out in front of the house in the lake, and that of course is impossible because of all the muck and lilies. The beach around the corner was nice, but it would have been nicer to just have been able to float right out front. Might we suggest a few things that would be beneficial to your bottom line? 1. Muck out a small area of the lake in front of the house and have some sand hauled in. Fishing AND swimming/floating would be a greater draw. 2. Assess and organize the kitchen. It needs a few basic items (i.e. knives- we bought some and left them for you, grill tools, etc) Patti wanted to reorganize it because the pots and pans were everywhere (and pretty beat up)- but your directions said to leave where it was 🤣! 3. The beds are heavenly (my hubby thought they were too soft), but the some of the sheets are pilling badly and need replacing. 4. Your deck needs the all the cobwebs/little dead guys brushed off. A lot of the solar lights need batteries or replacing. If those are switched on before the guests get there-what a lovely evening impression that would give! 5. Your backyard could be so beautiful. Perennial flowers and hostas would cheer it up and give it some color, and they come back every year which makes it easier on you. A perennial herb garden in the box you have there would be a lovely addition to guests that love to cook! During our stay there was a terrible storm while we were away from the house. When we returned, we found the house had lost power and the winds had taken the table umbrella and carried it over the house and it landed in the front yard and broke. Although it was in no way our fault, it was charged against the required renters insurance policy. Our suggestion is to weigh the new umbrella down so that can’t happen to future renters. We lost a/c for a while, flipped some breakers on the electrical board, and blew out some light bulbs, but other than that we all had a great time with family for Mom’s 90th Birthday. Please know that all of this comes from our hearts, and only to give you ideas on how to improve your cute home, as you asked us. We only met Pat, and know you are such wonderful people who want the best for your guests! Glenn and Patti Morrison William Gloria and Kathy

Perfect weekend getaway

We rented this place for a 4th of July weekend getaway before we head farther north. Although it’s just the two of us, this place is a perfect place for big family since there are 3 bedrooms.

Fantastic Thanksgiving

This was our second time staying here over Thanksgiving. We came to the area for a family Thanksgiving and once again loved the place. It was clean, cozy and provided ample room for us. Loved the view of the lake and being able to sip our coffee in the morning enjoying the beautiful view!

SxS Trip

This was our base camp for sxs trip. Trails near by, quiet neighborhood, large home so we didn't feel cramped. Loved the firepit out by the lake. Very peaceful, would come back.

There was 8 of us in a 3 bedroom plus couches. The home is dated but clean. Enjoyed the time together, cooking, eating, and a little beverage. The lake picture needs to updated, we wanted to use dock for getting Kayaks though not an option. Weeds have taken over the area in front of waterfront area. Firepit was great but bring your own chairs. It is less then a mile to the center of town and a really great grocery store (Freddie's)

family time

It was a nice weekend to spend with family before my son left for basic training. One little issue was that there was mouse droppings in the drawers. Considering the home is a double wide. Its hard to keep those kritters out. For the most part it was clean and cozy.
