Paradise on Palm - Palm Beach Family Retreat

Summary:

Paradise on Palm is a relaxed, generously sized holiday home located one row back from Palm Beach. With flexible sleeping for larger groups, flat and easy access to the sand, and practical indoor outdoor living, it is well suited to extended families or two families travelling together who want space, ease, and a beach focused location.



The Space:

Paradise on Palm is designed as an easy holiday base where the beach is the focus. The main house contains three bedrooms and the primary living spaces, while a separate sleeping pod provides additional bunks, allowing larger groups to spread out comfortably.



Inside, the home offers open living and dining areas that work well for shared meals, games, and downtime after the beach. These spaces connect naturally to outdoor areas, giving guests room to move between inside and outside throughout the day. The layout is practical rather than formal, making it a good option for families with children and mixed-age groups.



The property has two and a half bathrooms, which helps reduce congestion for larger groups. Bedrooms are simple, comfortable, and set up for flexibility rather than luxury.



One of the strongest features of the home is its location. Palm Beach sits directly across the road, with one house between you and the sand. This property has flat, easy access that makes coming and going with kids, towels, and boards straightforward. An all day café is just steps away, with a restaurant operating in the evenings, while vineyards and additional dining options are a short drive away.



Please note that the sleeping pod is separate from the main house and is best suited to children or teens.

Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive use of the house and grounds for the duration of their stay.



Check in is from 2:00 pm. Check out is by 10:30 am. Early or late check in may be available by arrangement and may incur a fee.



The Neighborhood:

Palm Beach is one of Waiheke’s most family friendly beaches, known for its wide sandy shoreline, gentle swimming conditions, and relaxed atmosphere. The beach is directly opposite the property, making it easy to head down for morning swims, long afternoons on the sand, or sunset walks.



A popular all day cafe sits just across the road, with a restaurant opening in the evenings, making casual meals easy without needing to drive. Several well known vineyards, cellar doors, and restaurants are located within a short drive, along with Oneroa village for supermarkets and additional dining options.



The area is flat and walkable, which is particularly appealing for families with young children or guests who prefer not to rely on a car for every outing.



Getting Around:

Palm Beach is serviced by local bus routes that run through to Oneroa and continue on to the passenger ferry terminal. The closest bus stop is located nearby on Palm Beach Road, making public transport a practical option for beach days, winery visits, and ferry connections.



Buses run regularly from Onetangi, stopping near major vineyards and The Heke Brewery, before continuing through Oneroa and down to the ferry.



Taxis and ride share services are available on Waiheke, though availability can vary during peak periods. Parking is available at the property for guests who choose to bring a car.



Other Things to Note:

This property is supplied by rainwater tanks. Like all Waiheke homes, water should be used thoughtfully, especially during summer and drier months.



Minimum stay requirements apply. There is a 7 night minimum stay from Christmas through to mid January, a 3 night minimum on holiday weekends, and a 2 night minimum at all other times.



Interaction with Guests:

Our team is available between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, seven days a week.



For life threatening emergencies, including medical emergencies or fire, guests must call 111 immediately.

Wonderful family holiday

Paradise on Palm was a great choice for us, a family group with 3 generations. The location was perfect for kids and adults alike, short stroll to a safe beach, cafe and store across the road and bus stop metres away.The house was very well appointed and outdoor area superb. We would stay again.
Stayed 4 nights in Jan 2025
