"Beautiful location and stunning building, only ourselves and the owners there on our two night stay. Lovely staff. Friendly owners. Unfortunately the room was pretty tired and bathroom needed a good overall. Old marked shower enclosure. Crumbling walls round the shower unit. Shower coming away from wall and mould round taps. "The Algilà is a wonderful boutique hotel with beautiful ocean views, comfortable rooms and an extremely dedicated staff. My wife was not feeling well during our stay. The staff arranged to have the doctor visit her in our room. They stayed to help translate and make sure she was ok. The room was spacious and very clean. We dined at the restaurant and had a very nice meal. I would highly recommend the Algila Ortegia Hotel to anyone visiting Siracusa."

"Overall experience was very good. The suite was unusually decorated, large and clean. It was at the front of the hotel and there was some residual noise from the street. AC was good and housekeeping was efficient. It’s in a good location for Via Etna, Piazza Duomo and other spots and very close to a host of bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful when I needed to interact with them. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not in keeping with the style or ‘sense’ of the hotel. The restaurant struggled to keep with the demand of a lot of guests having breakfast at the same time. There was very little information about the services in the hotel. Nothing in the room or advertised around the hotel. The gym was very small."
