The awesome thing about Hyde Park is that it's still the funky old Austin I remember from when I lived in there in the 90's/00s and this property is a great example of all of Austin's old charm. I loved my stay here--business trip to UT with a teen in tow to revisit Austin. The interior was really nice, the beds were comfortable, the property is on a great street, and the location couldn't be better for an easy walk to UT-Austin or a quick Uber downtown. It's also only 2-3 blocks to the 7 bus line which takes you right downtown every 15 minutes. Plus, it's only a few blocks from a great bakery/coffee shop, one of my favorite long-time local Mexican restaurants (Julios), a grocery store and an Italian restaurant that still makes one of my favorite white pizzas. Also within 1ish mile walk large chain grocery stores (an HEB and Central Market) and a bit longer but equally easy walk to the "Triangle."
The property owner was also really easy to work with and really responsive to questions while booking and while we were on sight.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I lived in Hyde Park for years and it was so very nice to be "home" again.
