Booked a couple of nights with a large group and still didn't feel crowded. The house is great, well maintained, with an amazing view. I had a very memorable stay. The only downsides were that the place was a bit hard to find and the owners/managers weren't very quick to respond while we were staying there.

It was what we were looking for in a rental on the lake. We were 8 minutes away from the Wedding .
The place was fine. There were a lot of outlets that didn’t work, and the kitchen was pretty poorly appointed. I would bring your own cutting board.

Clean House, Odd Location
I believe we were the 1st renters of this property. The layout of the house was great for our family. It was super clean, well appointed, kitchen had plenty of storage, and the beds were comfortable. There were some issues with the property though.
The locks need an upgrade. We were able to access the property via a keypad door lock. That was the only lock on the front door so anyone with access to the keycode could unlock the door. It would have felt safer with an interior latch of some sort. In the bunk room, there is an exterior door. The door handle for this door was inoperable and would turn even if in the locked position. There was a bolt lock affixed to the top of the door but that looked as if it had been damage and repaired before our arrival. This is the room my children were sleeping in and it did not seem safe.
Part of the safety concern was the surrounding areas. While the mailbox was easy to spot, the driveway posted many No Trespassing and Private Property Signs. While the house sits waterfront, between the road and the house were some run down trailers with lots of debris. To access the property, we had to navigate around parked vehicles and machinery on poorly maintained dirt driveway. The property also sits next to some sort of working boat/junk yard. While the boat yard seemed to keep normal business hours it did create some noise and truck traffic driving next the house, down to the waterfront.
When we arrived home I contacted the property managers about our concerns but did not hear back from them.
We got there late at night which made finding the property a little difficult, so I’d recommend arriving in day light if you can. It is next to a boat repair/construction area which did make it a little noisy in the day, but we didn’t mind. The property is great and the house is adorable. We had a great trip.
Overall the cabin is very nicely appointed, clean and well-kept. The contemporary IKEA-like interior is inviting and open in the living and kitchen areas with functional ceiling fans. The sleeping accommodations in the master and number 2 bedroom are adequate (think futon thin mattress) but lack clothing storage like a dresser or shelving for longer stays. The bunks in bedroom 3 are a joke. Sleeping support, even for a child is inadequate and uncomfortable.
The fenced-in and stone-walled property is nice. There is a deck with several chairs built over the cabin's septic tank. The odor of the septic system became noticeable a few days into our seven day stay so that became an issue, otherwise it would have been a nice outdoor gathering area for our large group.
The real downside to this property is it's location beside an active dock maintenance yard and the driveway(s) up to the "gated" compound. Initially this property was very difficult to find as the management company's roadside sign is hidden by overgrown weeds. Other detractors are a plethora of garbage and recycling bins along the road, some upright, some not. Pure chaos that is not navigable in the dark you can take one of two driveway access options. The "sign-idicated" entrance takes you through a literal travail of what appears to be three other personal residences and a nightmare of accumulated treasures including two free-standing toilets and some yard cars. You have to see it to believe it. More advisable is to go through the unmarked dock maintence yard. The terrain is true to the name "Rocky Ridge" and must be taken on very slowly and deliberately to find the path that won't bottom out your car.
The view of the lake is wonderful but access at the time of our visit was difficult at best on foot due to the low water level. The lack of easy access was a big disappointment as it was hot upon our visit and we looked forward to swimming and fishing activities. Apparently the boat docks at the lake front are all private and no tresspassing signs prevail.
The sounds of the daily activities at the boat dock yard next door can be distracting during the week so this rental property may be best suited for weekends when they are not working.
All in all, our family enjoyed our stay as we had plenty of other options off-property to make our memories.
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lake house. I’ll miss having coffee in the screened in porch overlooking the lake. The house came with everything we needed for our long weekend stay. There were quite a few bugs in the house, dead and alive, but to be expected this close to the water. Hope to come back soon!
We had 8 people in the home over the weekend for a Bachelor party. It was the perfect size for our needs and we had a great time! It’s a beautiful home and you can’t beat the remote location. The property management was quick and responsive when our key code entry was incorrect. The only negatives were: there was no hand soap available or surface cleaners. Finding the property was extremely difficult. It’s not well marked. I also heard the bunk bed mattresses were extremely uncomfortable from our friends that slept in that room.
