"The hostess Fiona wad amazing. Accommodating with my late arrival. Excellent breakfast. Eggs were perfect. And she was good luck, as her advice about where to find platypus was perfect! Great place to stay!!! Wifi could havr been a bit faster. But that's ok."

"The property was good value for money. The only thing that needed repairing was the shower fixture. Which I mentioned the staff. Everything was very good and would stay again. Thankyou"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Formby. It was good value for the price. The room was clean and spacious, the parking convenient. The staff were friendly. Only one complaint was the shower which kept on going hot and cold. There is a washing machine which is great, even better would be the addition of a dryer. The downstairs bar had a great vibe and the restaurant was so popular it was booked out, which must be a sign it's good. We plan to stay again next time we are in Devonport."

"Large and spacious upstairs unit perfect for families. Despite being the middle of winter was well heated and flooded with morning sun which made it very comfortable! Loved being able to bring our dog with great nearby tracks for walks."

"This was a historic stay. We loved the tiny details and felt like we had stepped back in time to a Jane Austen novel. Highly recommend for people who love old mansions. I taught my daughters about encyclopaedias - the google of yore - and we also loved watching the spirit of Tasmania berth. "
