Ideal location for Auxerre centre which was within easy walking distance. Comfortable room with good quality bed and pillows. The front of the hotel was well lit - it would have been good to be able to block out more light from the room. Parking was easy and very secure. Generally quiet.

Good Auxerre Hotel

Nice hotel in a good location for the town. Reception staff were good and friendly. Car parking was good but should be reserved. We were on the top floor and had two single beds instead of a double as we would have preferred.

Peaceful and charming

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful small town, the host was charming, our room was lovely with a view of the garden. A comfortable bed, large bathroom, and room service for dinner. We could not ask for more

I stayed 1 night with 2 friends in a triple room at The Originals Boutique, Hôtel Normandie, Auxerre. The hotel is a bit run down and could do with a freshen up but the location was very convenient. The staff was also friendly and welcoming and they got a parking area downstairs where you pay €9 a night - so worked for us.

Good stop over

We stayed one night as part of our return journey from the south of France to split the driving. Family room was clean and spacious. Perfect for what we needed. Don’t forget to book the car parking. You have to proactively contact the hotel to arrange and there are not many spaces in the covered hotel parking garage. We were lucky as hotel allowed us to park even though we had not booked. Auxerre itself is charming and worth stopping at.

Auxerre - Belgium/France 2024

Overall it was okay. It was comfortable, clean and the personnel were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have had a refrigerator to keep the water and soft drinks cold and not have to beg from the reception for ice.Parking was not the best, the hotel offered spaces in the garage for 9€ a night, but my SUV did not fit in the space. Luckily, there was free public parking across the street and we found a spot about 200 meters from the hotel and didn't move the car until we left Auxerre, since we could walk to all the sites to see and restaurants and cafes and bakeries.We did not partake of the breakfast buffet, since we like to sleep long in the morning after a long day of walking in the city.

Disappointed - this is not a boutique hotel. It’s an old building with a huge recent annex with 47 rooms! Almost no charm left. And no proper coffee at breakfast - too many people for the machine! Pity - was looking forward to a boutique hotel stay.
