Great location but could not wait to check out of this room

This property is in the Charter complex, which is close to the slopes and Beaver Creek Village and has amenities like hot tub, spa, ski rentals but the room is really dingy looking and smelling. It might have been clean but it sure did not seem like it. And it’s hard to believe how much we paid for it given tbe condition. I guess we should have known given that it was available 2 weeks before our trip in March in the middle of ski season but the prior reviews were good. As long as you go in knowing that you are not going to want to spend too much time in the room and not get a great night sleep (beds are old and uncomfortable), and really only care about location, then this property is for you. The Charter needs to be redone generally - it is old and outdated - but our friends stayed in other rooms at Charter that were much nicer. And the front desk and staff was helpful and tried to be accommodating. Sorry to have to write this review but wanted others to avoid the same fate. Also know that the restaurants are not open Monday through Wednesday although that is I think a phenomenon in all hotels given the staff shortage.
