The room was PERFECT! Soooo spacious — the room, beds, bathroom, etc. the washers being in the restrooms are so convenient too. The staff was so friendly as well. The location is close to a lot of things and walking was not a hassle either. Will absolutely book again!

Hotel Kanra was the best hotel of our stay in Japan. I cannot recommend enough. The rooms are large, very clean and quiet, the bathroom and bathtub are both great. The location is excellent (only a few blocks away from the station and next to a beautiful local monument) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I wish every hotel could be as nice as this one. The breakfast has a lot of western and Japanese options so it’s easy to try new foods while getting a good meal. The lounge in the front is also a nice retreat after a long day of exploring Kyoto.
