Hotel Monterey KOBE

Hotel Monterey KOBE

8/10 Good
"The room was cozy and on the smaller side, but it was clean and comfortable. Towels and amenities were replenished every day, and the pajamas were also changed regularly. I especially enjoyed the showerhead in the bathroom…it felt wonderful and was a nice touch. Although the hotel was quite busy with many guests during the summer vacation, our room was quiet and we were not bothered by any noise. One downside was that the bathing facility on the second floor was always quite crowded, and I often had to wait. There was also occasionally a sewer smell coming from the toilet in our room. Since the room was otherwise cleaned so thoroughly, it was a little disappointing to notice the smell. All of the staff were kind, friendly, and courteous. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely like to stay here again."

Kobe MerikenPark Oriental Hotel

Kobe MerikenPark Oriental Hotel

8/10 Good
"We booked this hotel 6 months ago and asked for a quiet room. They put us next to a family with a constant crying baby in and out of their room and balcony banging around. It amazes me that they had 6 months to manage our request!! However the room itself was really nice and an amazing outlook over to the sea. The breakfast was average. We did go to the roof Terrace twice for a drink and found the head bar man unhelpful and unfriendly. We asked to try the house wine which comes by the glass before ordering but were faced with a rather direct and blunt ‘NO’ which we found awkward. Not a great experience and the hotel ultimately misses out on business."
