There are a number of options for food and entertainment around the station, and this is a great hotel to stay at if you’re planning to go to the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. "This was my first hotel in Japan. Great value for the quality of the stay. The location has plenty to offer in a walkable distance, including close proximity to the Shinkansen (bullet train). I staid here to be able to visit Daihonzan Eiheiji. The bus to Eiheiji temple is at the transportation center where the Shinkansen and other trains depart. "
