A Western Ghana GetAway

Axim Beach Resort has upgraded tremendously since my first visit in 2017. I enjoyed being far from the hustle and bustle of the crowded areas of Ghana. The beach was ideal for exercise, meditation and an afternoon siesta. This is definitely my area to decompress when I arrive in Ghana and before I leave the country.

Rum unerer gebuchten Preiskategorie wurde gerade renoviert. Deswegen etwas teureren Raum erhalten. Dafür wurde aber der Hinweis auf die nicht mehr funktionierende Klimaanlage mit der Begeündung abgewiesen, dass uns diese ohnehin nicht zustände! Küche nicht besonders! Aber insgesamt OK

We arrived to the place after 7 hours drive, in the reception we have been told that the don't have my reservation, they let us wait 2 hours and did not give us any help with contact hotels. Com, hotels. Com didn't reply to our calls and emails, so we decided to leave the place

Hotel mit typischen Rundhäusern in toller Lage

Die Lage des Hotels übertraf all unsere Erwartungen - auf einer Seite ein schöner Palmenstrand und auf der anderen Seite Klippen in der Brandung. Sehr schön angelegtes Resort. Die traditionell strohgedeckten Rundhäuser mit Blick aufs Meer könnten hier und da wieder überarbeitet werden - Türen und Fenster. Aber das hat uns bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht weiter gestört. Lediglich im Restaurantbereich gilt es Abstriche zu mach - zum Frühstück war die Auswahl mehr als dürftig, am Abend war die Küche manchmal überfordert...

A 3star hotel

This was a chance to see more of Ghana. Great location with crashing waves lulling you to sleep. It was out of season so very quiet and limited food. A wedding on the Saturday nearly drank the place dry. Rooms had that slightly damp feel often associated with being near the sea. There were also bugs in the room often due to things not quite closing. The solar heated water took about 5 mins to get to the room shower which felt wasteful. No bottled water in the room and expensive to buy in the hotel so bring your own. The picture windows allowed you a great view of the coastline and you could sit outside your chalet. I enjoyed the hotel but my son was put off by the amount of bugs and walking he had to do to get to the different places. It was a steep walk up from the swimming pool for example.

Not for long stay

It is really a wonderful place looks like paradise but it is not possible to swim in the ocean the waves are too strong and it is dangerous. On first day they stole us 400 euro out of the room. Our stay was 3 weeks. Most of our breakfast we bought by ourself Restaurant took over one hour to prepare your food and after one week a lot of food was out. Drinks too. So this hotel is good for a short stay but not for longer vacation. Lot of days we had no electricity and they start generator in evening. The highlight from this hotel is the cleaning woman grace she did a fantastic job and helps us a lot. Thank you grace without you I would go earlier.

Beautiful location, but hotel tired and empty

Staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming. On arrival, the swimming pool was empty and remained so during our stay. The air on did not work in the first room we were given, so we were moved to a second room. This had no hot water, and it was suggested we used the the kettle in the room for hot water. Management was understanding and eventually upgraded us to one of the honeymoon lodges, where everything worked well, and the view of the sea was great. There is internet connection only in reception, which was not a problem. Overall the hotel is tired and the owners urgently need to invest time and money to get this hotel back to full operational standards. I have stayed in this hotel several times last year and it was much better then. I will only return when the issues in the rooms are resolved and the pool is full. The staff did clean by car before departure, which was nice. Very disappointed with the stay this weekend at this hotel. Management is trying to resolve, but clearly with no financial support from the owners. Location remains excellent, beach is isolated and quiet and the sea is clear an clean.

correct mais quand même cher!

pas indiqué sur le site qu'il s'agit de chambre ventilée ( économique) donc paiement différence à l'arrivée pour chambre climatisée. clim défaillante au final! pas de wifi ni de télé ( même si pas indispensable, mais présente dans le descriptif). belle aire de jeu pour les enfants, superbe plage. serveur resto très sympa.

Séjour à Axim beach hôtel.

Remarquable par le rapport qualité-prix : architecture très agréable (en cases, très beau bar-restaurant), plage superbe et très propre, situation entre colline et mer, repas copieux et de très bonne qualité, et prix tout à fait raisonnables (en comparaison avec d'autres établissements). Nous serions bien restés 3 à 4 jours de plus.

Paradise in Ghana

The chalets were wonderful, the food was marvellous and the grounds extroordinary. We spent two nights there and the staff were gracious, even thoigh we arrived at 9:00 at night. The only draw back is that the resort is hard to get to via public transport. The road to the resort is a dirt road. If you get to the town of Axim, any taxi driver knows the place. I was disappointed that they did not have the cocnut shrimp on the menu as I had in 2001. I hope they bring it back. They added a salt water swimming pool. Very nice.

A little corner of paradise

Aim Beach Resort is an incredibly relaxing location. The staff were extraordinarily friendly; the restaurant was excellent. The view from our deck of the ocean was breath-taking.

Gutes Hotel an Traumstrand

Das Hotel liegt schlichtweg an einem Traumstrand aus einem Hochglanzmagazin, der alleine schon die Reise hierhin wert ist. Das Hotel hat Zimmer unterschiedlichster Kategorie, so dass für jeden Geldbeutel etwas dabei ist. Das Restaurant ist für Ghana überdurchschnittlich. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, manchmal vielleicht etwas überfordert.
