I dont understand how you can call it a hotel eith no bar. It was just plain and simple hotel breakfast was happy day's rooms were very tidy all n all a pleasant stay

Conveniently situated hotel.

Conveniently situated hotel. Stayed one night en route to Ardossan ferry terminal for trip to Isle of Arran. Hotel is on the main road, a short walk from town centre. It is perfect for stopover en route to road, rail and airport connections or even a longer stay.

Very dated hotel

Very dated hotel nead a complete overhaul, not the cleanest either bathroom had dampness on walls toilet pan was dirty & shower not so good.However nice enough couple that run it he was quiet but wife was more pleasant. Had evening meal which was nice not too much to choose from but was good enough, breakfast was also good enough not too much just enough.

Outdated, tired decor. The place needs a total revamp and the bed was extremely uncomfortable.On the positive side the hosts were friendly and served a freshly cooked and sufficient breakfast.

Would definitely stay again

What a great place to stay for the price would be hard to beat really enjoyed our stay so so friendly nothing seemed any trouble my niece is vegetarian and they were only to happy to come up with a hearty breakfast and great breakfast for us meat eater to lol if I'm ever in Ayr or surrounding area will definitely stay here again

Scotland adventure

The hotel had wonderful owners who told us about several sites we would have missed otherwise. Breakfast was a hot meal and well prepared.

Pleasant, clean and friendly

We had a large family room with ensuite facilties. Every was clean and tidy, all windows opened and the heating worked. Breakfast was tip top and staff very friendly. Far better than the average.

Not comfortable, without AC

First of all - there is no AC in the room instead of what were written in hotel description!!! The furniture- very old and cheap and very very uncomfortable! The breakfast was average. I'll not reccomend this hotel.

Comfy King

Room 9 - king bed an was very comfortable. Breakfast on Sunday til 9.30am, we arrived about 9.35am, tables had been cleared but they reset it no problem. breakfast was lovely - individual boxes of brand cereals, toast rack to your table, big pot of tea, beans, bacon, egg, hash brown, sausage, potatoe scone, brand sauce bottles, brand individual butter/marg portions. Bed comfy but room basic, but time in hotel for us was minimal so that verses cost = really good. Location of hotel for us was really good as walkable to our relatives house and £5 in taxi to Nightclub in Prestwick that we visitedwhy and for these two reasons alone we would use again.

Very good value for money

Business trip - Perfect hosts, very friendly welcome, ample parking, tasty breakfast, clean room and en-suite. Was upgraded from a single to a double, which was very much appreciated. Only thing I would suggest is a new mattress, as current is on its last legs.

Would definitely stay again

Made to feel welcome from start to finish. Lovely food, comfortable beds and good size family room. WiFi isn't the best but is ok. Bar and food prices also very good.
