Frühstück ist perfekt. Eine andere Mahlzeit a la Carte sollte man jedoch meiden.
Staff are a wonderful testament to the 'feel good' effect of this 'kur' town - Bad Bevensen is wonderful place for a relaxing stay with stunning 'kur park' - the hotel is very good value - immaculate rooms - comfortable with all you need - fantastic breakfast in charming dining room - and nicely landscaped to give a 'natural' feel. Highly recommend - would love to return.
Bad Bevesen is a hot springs salt water resort area. It is probably the main such resort in North Germany and includes the spa facilities in the room price (a $40/person value). The rooms are spacious with sitting balconies designed for weekly stays although you can stay single nights or more. The spa is located about 10 minutes walk from the hotel and is maintained by the city as is common in German health resorts. Clientele is mostly older Germans who have been coming here for a long time. We speak German, but English is easily used. The spa is unique in that it was the accidental creation of past oil&gas exploration that hit a salt way hot springs…The Spa includes two very large swimming pools with a circulating pool inside, a salt sauna, regular sauna etc, (saunas tend to be au natural but suits can be worn and are necessary in other parts of spa. There are ample hiking paths in the forests and moors in the area. A very rare and unexpected find...
