Zimmer scheinen nur teilweise renoviert zu sein. Hotel war überbucht und stattdessen Zimmer im Nachbarhotel bekommen. War alles etwas abgewohnt, rostige Handtuchhalter usw. Man kann sich wohl in beiden Häusern nicht sicher sein, ein Zimmer wie hier abgebildet oder ähnlich zu bekommen und spielt damit Lotterie. Seniorchef kommunikativ am Rande der Unverschämtheit (verlangte Aufpreis, wenn man ein renoviertes Zimmer wie abgebildet haben wolle), Juniorchefin und anderes Personal ausgleichend bemüht. Insgesamt gemischte Gefühle, 100+ EUR für eine Nacht sind aber sicherlich auf diesem Niveau zu viel. Vielleicht bekommt die junge Betreibergeneration das ja mit den Jahren hin. Ich drücke die Daumen!

Schönes Hotel an der Therme

Es ist ein sehr schönes privat geführtes Hotel mit Zugang zur Therme in Bad Harzburg. Es liegt sehr ruhig, Parkplätze vor der Tür, Busverbindung zum Bahnhof Bad Harzburg. Direkt an der Burgbergseilbahn.

Det var okay men ikke mere end det

Det var et fint lille hotel, men betjeningen bar lidt præg af, at det var et familieforetagne med måske begrænset udvikling. Hotel Wintherberg er et ubemandet hotel, og hvis man vil spise eller tale med personalet, skal man henvende sig i nabohotellet, hvor receptionen er placeret. Hotellet betjener kun logerende gæster, og hver gang vi trådte ind af døren i nabohotellet, blev vi mødt af et familiemedlem (ofte af ældre årgang), der sagde, at hotellet kun betjerner hotellets gæster. Og hver gang måtte vi oplyse, at vi skam var gæster, og så var vi naturligvis velkomne, men vi følte os ikke helt velkomne. En aften ville vi spise på hotellet, og efter den sædvanlige “vi betjener kun hotellets gæster-velkomst”, blev vi vist ind i restauranten, og der blev vi “hilst velkommen” af en ældre tjener/kok der stresset udbrød “hvad vil I?”, og vi svarrede måbende “øhh spise”, hvorefter hun kommanderede os ned i et hjørne. Vi valgte dog at spise et andet sted. Men - hotellet var rent omend temmelig gammeldags, og placeret lige ved siden af en stor hovedvej med tung lastbiltrafik fra det nærliggende stenbrud ved Ranau. Vi havde blot to overnatninger, og det kunne lige fungere, men mere end et par overnatninger, kunne vi ikke forestille os at bo på Hotel Wintherberg.

Dejlige mennesker, god mad - resten trækker ned.

Fantastiske mennesker møder og betjener dig. Morgenmaden var helt i top. Aftensmaden var over forventning. Værelserne trænger meget til forbedringer. Der var meget lydt, så man kunne høre naboerne. Sengen var mildt sagt elendig.

Fint, pænt og rent tæt på en masse naturoplevelser

Klassisk hotel i Harzen-området. Fine værelser, dog af svingende standard (nogle er nye og lækre; andre knap så nye). Gode P forhold. Rigtig fin morgenmad. Sødt og hjælpsomt personale. Fin lille have med liggestole etc. Tæt på byen (5 min. i bil). Tæt på en masse naturoplevelser (vandring/mountain bike), der svinger fra lette ture til større/krævende ture. Pas på fartfælder (aut.) i byen...de blitzer løs og grænsen er 60km/t på trods af de brede veje.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind zwar alt eingerichtet, aber sie sind gepflegt und sauber. Die ganze Umgebung ist liebevoll gestaltet und für den Preis kriegt man eine Menge geboten. Das Einzige, das irritierend war, dass uns 2x gesagt wurde, dass das Parken kostenfrei ist, aber dann pro Nacht 1 Euro berechnet wurde. (So wie es auch hier im Angebot steht) Aber bei so einem Service kann man darüber hinweg sehen. Gerne wieder. 😊
