Upon arrival, the front desk staff were indifferent and unwelcoming—offering no assistance with luggage, which is surprising for a property of this caliber. Our room was dusty with a clogged shower that should have been addressed before our arrival. Small details like these matter, especially when a hotel presents itself as part of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux network. "The hotel sits on a hill and the path down to the city centre through the woods is easy to follow, even for returning after dinner at a good restaurant in town. The room was spacious for 2 people, the bed very comfortable, and everything very clean. The buffet breakfast was good and plentiful. Would recommend the hotel."
