"I choose to stay at the other side of Lake Tegernsee as the price charge here are more reasonable, and yet not lack of convenience. We took the public bus 359 or 366, it took us around 20min to the other end. The day transport ticket of MVV solve all our transport fee. Excellent. Back to Landhouse Ertle, a 5min walk from main road bus stop, very beautiful neighborhood with decent restaurant. The bathroom has been renovated, brand new ! "This is a family owned hotel for many generations. The location is a short walk from the lake, and has a great view of it (from upper floors at least). It was great to watch the owner interact with the German guests during our fantastic home cooked dinner. Even without understanding a word, I could tell they were happy to be there. As a non-German speaker, I had no trouble talking with him in English, but was jealous of the fun the others had. The menu is one choice of what they are making...

"Our room was very clean and remodeled well. We were only staying one night so we booked the cheapest king bed room. This room #24 was an attic room which had no windows except for two skylight window on the ceiling. Didn’t have screens and it rained that evening, so we closed them. That made the room very hot and stuffy. Other rooms had balconies and I’m sure were very nice. Also, they didn’t have small towels for the shower. Breakfast was from 8-10.
