This private riverside jungle home is designed for relaxed indoor–outdoor living, blending natural materials with the beauty of its rainforest setting. The stone-and-timber construction features rich wood finishes, natural stone details, Portuguese tile accents, and high ceilings that keep the home light, airy, and cool.

The main living space centers around a high-ceiling kitchen with a breakfast bar that opens directly onto covered verandas and wraparound patios, creating an easy flow to the pool and gardens. Two spacious ground-floor bedrooms connect to outdoor living areas and share a full bathroom, while a separate laundry and storage area adds comfort for longer stays. The entire upper level is a private master suite with a wraparound veranda and tranquil rainforest views, perfect for morning coffee or unwinding at sunset.

Outside, enjoy a sunny blue swimming pool with a bright deck for lounging or entertaining. Manicured lawns, tropical landscaping, and garden paths lead toward the riverbank of the clear Río Media Luna. A tropical orchard with cacao, bananas, pineapples, and other fruit adds to the natural charm of the property. Wildlife sightings may include monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths, and colorful butterflies, enhancing the immersive jungle atmosphere.

Despite the feeling of seclusion, you’re just minutes from everything. Plaza Ventanas, the Costanera Highway (Ruta 34), beaches like Playa Ventanas (5 mins) and Playa Tortuga (6 minutes), and the dining scene of Ojochal are all a short drive away. Uvita (15 mins) and Marino Ballena National Park (19 mins) are close enough for easy day trips. Our favorite beach, Playa Arco (8 mins away) and many other stunning beaches along the southern Pacific coast are all within easy driving distance, making this an ideal base for both relaxation and adventure.

This is a true jungle and riverside property, surrounded by nature. You may encounter insects, frogs, monkeys, sloths or other small wildlife typical of tropical environments. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed but are part of the natural charm of the area.

While the setting feels peaceful and secluded, the location is considered one of the most convenient and desirable areas on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast. This region offers nearly everything Costa Rica is known for- all within easy reach.

A car is recommended to fully enjoy the area. While you do not need a 4 by 4 to access the house, a 4 by 4 is always recommended in Costa Rica if you want to explore some of the more private waterfalls, beaches, and nature reserves.
