"Great location, beautiful place, comfortable beds, tidy rooms, but what really makes this place stand out is Cesar, who is an amazing host: super friendly, helpful, and available 24/7 for anything you need. 100% recommended, will definitely come back when I visit Porto again."

"Amazing views, amazing hosts. We were given samples of the local wine. We were lucky enough to join one of the hosts on his daily 5km walk. It was a great experience."

"Le calme, la piscine et un personnel au petit soin !
Une vue magnifique sur la montagne !
Des chambres fraîches malgré des températures extérieures supérieures à 30 degrés et le calme de la terrasse privative de la chambre.
La proximité de l’ensemble des sites touristiques de la vallée du Douro !"

"The staff was most welcoming, efficiant and helpful. The balcony with river view was wonderful. The complimentary bottle of wine in the room was special."
"The service at this hotel was unparallel. I needed a medication and they sent a driver to the pharmacy to pick it up and bring it back to the hotel. I also needed hiking boots and they went to a hiking shoe store bought me my size got them on sale and brought them to the hotel. I’ve never experienced such incredible service before at a hotel."
Luxury secluded villa, splendid views, pool, play area, games, cinema, big group
10/10 Excellent
"Casa do Monte, Marcus, Rosa and staff truly gave us the best 4 days of our lives. When planning our wedding we were looking for a place in the Douro Valley that could serve as our wedding venue for 35 people AND a place to stay for all 13 of our friends. After reading reviews of the property and how helpful the host was - we decided to book. It turned out to be the absolute best decision. From the start Marcus was communicative and invaluably helpful in planning our day. He was able to help us book our dinner, flowers, transportation, source our wine and beer, and organized a brilliant team of staff to make it all happen. More than that, he put us at total ease. That is truly priceless. Everything, and we mean EVERYTHING was even better than we could have imagined. The house itself is magical - a true gem in such a charming part of the Douro Valley. It is much bigger than it seems online and you can hang here for days without ever leaving property because there is so much to do. Our group really enjoyed the pool and cooking in the very well appointed kitchen. The breakfast every morning was perfect and the house felt so spacious that even with 15 of us you would have to make an effort to run into everyone! One of our absolute favorite parts about our stay was how the home really felt like home. Marcus went above and beyond to make us feel like the place was ours and to invite all of our friends to enjoy it as well. From the bottom of our hearts - muito obrigado!!!!"
"The home was lovely, spacious, comfortable, well-appointed and tastefully decorated. The views were outstanding. It was difficult to find restaurants nearby, and as the crow flies one was less than 2km away, but took nearly 30 minutes to drive. Next time (if I'm fortunate enough to rent this villa again), I would buy meats and vegetables (and wine of course) for a lovely dinner at the villa at least one night. I thought I read that the beds were all king-size, but now I don't see that information on the site(s). There are four air-conditioned bedrooms: four are queen-size and one appears to be a double (full). That was the only item I rated 4 stars, but perhaps it was my assumption (?) Victor, the owner and host, was the best - friendly, informative, and helpful. "
