A pet-friendly modern log cabin at 9,016 ft near Bailey, with a private hot tub, a gas fire table on the covered deck, and views of Rosalie Peak, Mt. Logan, and the Front Range.
Welcome to Rosalie Ridge Cabin, a modern log cabin tucked into pine and aspen forest near Bailey, Colorado, about an hour from Denver. Mornings start with coffee and floor-to-ceiling views of Rosalie Peak, Mt. Logan, and the Front Range. Days are for trails (some start within walking distance, and the Rosalie Peak trailhead is about 7 minutes away). Evenings belong to the private hot tub, which seats 6 to 8, and the gas fire table on the covered wraparound deck.
The space
The vaulted great room is the heart of the cabin, with warm wood walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, a cast-iron wood stove (firewood and firestarters provided), an electric fireplace, a smart TV, a stereo, and 20+ board games. The fully stocked kitchen has a gas stove and oven, a dishwasher, drip and Keurig coffee makers with complimentary K-cups, ground coffee, and teas, plus spices, oils, and kid-friendly cups and utensils. The dining table seats 8, and the breakfast bar has stools for 5.
The cabin sleeps 6 in three bedrooms with three baths:
• Primary suite (upstairs): king bed, pack 'n play, a dedicated workspace with a monitor and mountain views, and an en-suite bath with a double vanity and walk-in tiled shower
• Bedroom 2 (upstairs): queen bed
• Bedroom 3 (ground floor): queen bed looking out to the trees
• Upstairs hall bath and downstairs bath, each with a tub/shower combo
Every bedroom has a smart TV, a ceiling fan, a white noise machine, and bedside chargers. Starlink Wi-Fi runs about 120 Mbps download, plenty for video calls and streaming.
Outside, the covered wraparound deck has Adirondack chairs, a log bench, the gas fire table, and a propane grill. The private hot tub is professionally serviced weekly, and a large grassy meadow (not fenced) opens up in front of the cabin, where deer often wander through.
Good to know: the kitchen, great room, and primary suite are upstairs, with one queen bedroom and a bath on the ground floor. There's no air conditioning, but the bedrooms and great room have ceiling fans, every bedroom closet has a fan and a space heater, and summer nights at this elevation are usually cool.
