Wild Cedars - Cana Island - Lake Michigan - Amazing new home

Brand new house on Lake Michigan nestled in a cedar forest with great views of Cana Island from the shore.

Set in a beautiful wooded lot this unique 2,026 sq ft home will make you feel welcome. With covered decks, screen porch, natural wood burning stone fireplace with sunken seating, and accents of natural cedar with rustic charm and elegance.

Two bedrooms: One downstairs with queen bed and private deck looking out to Lake Michigan. The second upstairs with a king size bed. The first floor bedroom opens onto a private deck with great views of Lake Michigan.

The great room has huge picture windows looking out to the lake and a Panoramic door leading from the great room into the covered screen deck. A very comfortable king size sofa sleeper and armchairs are located in the great room to both take advantage of the view and enjoy the TV and BluRay player. There is also a game table in this room, a variety of board games, movies and books are available for your use. The great room also has a wood-burning fireplace with sunken seating area.

Overlooking the great room is a loft with a full size sofa-sleeper and seating looking out the front windows to the lake. Great place to sit, relax and read a book.

Off the great room is a dining room with table seating 8. The dining room also opens up to the screened deck area.

The kitchen is full equipped: Refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker, Gas range and electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. Coffee maker and other common small appliances are provided. The cabinet is stocked with typical staple items for your use.

There are two bathrooms: The first floor bathroom has a tub/shower and the upstairs bath a shower. Towels and washcloths are provided as well as travel shampoo and soap.

Wonderful stay

Our fifth time staying here - beautiful home and setting in the woods by the lake. As much fun and relaxing to be on the porch and by the lake at the house as it is to explore Door County. Best of both worlds - highly recommended! Very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, and appreciate the responsive hosting.

Quiet lakeview getaway

Comfortable, beautiful

The screen porch and view of Lake Michigan from every window can't be beat. It's so wonderful to have the windows open and hear the waves 24/7. This is the most well-stocked vacation home we've ever stayed in! They've thought of everything with little touches that make your stay comfortable and special. The decor is fun, pretty, and our taste so it was attractive to me immediately. The hosts are very responsive to questions, and answer any questions quickly! This was our second stay there and we'll be back, I'm sure. Great house, which makes your vacation great!

Delightful Door County Stay

This is a beautiful property and home. My wife and I were here for a four-day stay and everyday we found more to love. We loved watching mergansers and gulls on the lake, as well as the closeness to so many wonderful sights and locations on the peninsula.

2+1=3 stays at Boreal Beach House properties.

This is our 2nd stay at this property and it's just as nice as ever, better even. Beautiful views of Cana Island, peaceful and quiet. Easy access to the county and state parks in the area and for a trip to Washington Island if you want to. We did that one day, an easy 35 minute drive to the ferry. Their other property is two lots south of this one and is just as nice, with an even better view of Cana Island. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

What a beautiful property with fantastic views! My husband, daughter, son in law , and myself had a great time staying there! Consistently exceptional property

Our third visit and we remain impressed. We enjoyed the addition of some crushed shells on the rocky shoreline - it made it easier to settle at the water’s edge to enjoy the view. This is an exceptional property on the Quiet Side.

Perfect getaway!

The ultimate holiday getaway

There was really nothing we didn't love about this house. After a very hectic November and December, it was so relaxing to escape to the Boreal Beach House for a few nights and recharge the batteries. Loved the house. Loved the decorating. Loved the location and view. Loved all the extras. Will most definitely be back.

Perfect!!!

Lovely home on shore of Lake Michigan. We very much enjoyed our stay. Home is beautiful and since we love the lake side, it was just what we wanted for our annual visit to Door County. We even had deer passing through the yard. We will be back! Thank you for opening your home to us!

Winter get away

Booked ahead anticipating fall weather but got snow and cold. The heated floors and fireplace kept us warm and cozy and even though it was too cold to walk along the shore we enjoyed breathtaking views of the water and the sound of waves crashing into shore.

Secluded and dreamy Door County home

Modern, very clean, cozy, secluded and dreamy house in Bailey's Harbor. The home had everything I needed, the 2 porches were wonderful to sit on and watch the waves on Lake Michigan. I spent an entire day sitting on the rocks watching eagles, swans and seabirds over the Canna Island Lighthouse. Internet was a little spotty at times, but that was the worst of it. Truly a perfect Door County getaway. I cannot wait to come back.

Beautiful home, on the water and in the woods. Well equipped kitchen, great fireplace especially in fall and winter. Bedrooms nice size and beds very comfortable . The experience provided was very special. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine waiting for us, the home was decorated beautifully for the holidays, they supplied soaps and shampoo, they have a full set of wine and cocktail glasses, cloth napkins, phone charger. They take extra care to make your stay special.

Great spot on the quiet side of Door County

We were first time visitors to Door County and found this house to be a perfect location. Within a 20 minute drive of Sister Bay, Ephraim, and Egg Harbor, and 10 minutes of Baileys Harbor, the house offers complete serenity but for the lapping of the Lake Michigan waves. The house is steps away from a private, rocky beach, and a short drive from a more sandy, unpopulated public beach with a small parking lot. Cana Island lighthouse is a short walk away, and the lighthouse is visible from the backyard. The house is very well stocked--even including bug spray, which we only needed when hiking trails elsewhere in Door County. The house does not have AC, which we didn't even realize until the last day of our trip, when we got a little warm packing things up for our departure. There is almost always a breeze coming off the lake. No worries here about the pictures not being representative of the house--it's even nicer in person. Baileys Harbor is a charming small town with plenty of eating options. The house wifi is excellent, but once we left the house our Verizon coverage was spotty. Just tell the kids to be brave--the connection is much better as you get closer to town.
