We were there on vacation for NASCAR in Bristol. It was a little bit of a drive, but, it’s a very easy drive. We enjoyed the drive away from the hustle and bustle. We were welcome by a personal sign waiting on us and dog treats waiting on our furdaughter . We really wish we have had more time to enjoy the property. Our ONLY thing was the drive way entrance could be lit up, it’s a little hard to see at night.
Our stay was perfect. Creek House is very clean and had nice personal touches for us. The large screened porch was a favorite room. Great place to stay!
Creek House was the perfect place for our family with two young kids to spend a few relaxing days. The creek was a great place to cool off and the house had all the comforts needed to rest after playing and hiking part of the day.
Peaceful atmosphere, wonderful setting to get off the grid. Hosts were very acomodating.
Peaceful atmosphere, wonderful place to get off the grid. House for very accommodating. Love the music playing when we arrived. Love sitting on the porch listening to the creek sound
Such a beautiful home, in such a peaceful location. Fully furnished and well maintained. The grounds were gorgeous. Communication with owners was great!
Safe neighborhood, lots of privacy, picturesque, convenient for hiking on the Appalachian Trail. We were comfortable and warm. Creek at the back of the property was lovely. Hosts made extra effort to make us feel welcome. Would stay again.
We had luck to meet owners at day of our arrival and they are exceptional people. House is perfect, quiet and beautifully arranged. We enjoyed creek, long walks and rest. We will for sure visit again. All together great vacation. Thank you Yindra and John.
We didn’t want to ever leave! Such a beautiful setting it’s just nature at its best. Two porches and a fabulous roaring creek! Owner is a great communicator too! Will return for sure.
This house is perfect. It is conveniently located and the Creek in the backyard is fantastic along with the screened in porch and gazebo. A wonderful firepit, nice kitchen and comfortable beds. And great television sets. The hosts are excellent. I highly recommend!
Good spot to unwind and decompress. Lovely property with nature all around…birds, spring flowers, water. The screened porch is large and we and our pooch spent much of the time there. Comfortable and cozy.
Cozy property with great hosts. Spent most of our time, enjoying the spacious screened in porch and the view of the mountains and creek.
Comfortable beds and the house is thoughtfully stocked above and beyond your normal rental.
Roan Mountain and Linville Caverns Falls were great places to hike and visit within a 30 minute drive!
The property is beautiful. Loved the yard with the stream below. The house was perfect for two couples and was equipped with all one could require. The screened porch would be the perfect place to sit out in slightly warmer weather. Hosts went to a lot of effort, even providing delicious cookies! Would happily visit again.
The house/property is great, the weather not so much. Rained the whole time we were there but that didn’t stop us from having a relaxing and stress free stay.
The house was clean as a pin and had every amenity needed. The custom fire pit and “beach house” outdoor room were very nice touches.
We loved our stay at your home. Just some of our favorites include: huge enclosed deck with plenty of comfortable seating, chipmunks playing in the boulder garden by the deck, quaint screened gazebo above the creek, beautiful mountain trout steam with mini rapids, well stocked kitchen with everything you'd need for a casual or classy meal, exceptionally comfortable king bed, plenty of hot water and plush towels in both bathrooms, comfy living room furniture, lots of music and DVDs, easy access to hiking trails. We hope to return for a longer stay.
The cottage is very well laid out. The kitchen is very well equipped. Coffee grinder, slow cooker, air fryer, mixer, blender. Lots of dishes glassware and silverware. We enjoyed fishing in the creek and listening to the birds. It was a very relaxing week.
My husband, our pup and myself stayed at the Creekhouse for our 10 year anniversary trip. What an amazing place! The house and grounds are simply beautiful. Our pup LOVED the creek in the backyard. Yindra and John thoughtfully left cookies for us and a dog biscuit for our pup. They also hung up a happy anniversary sign for us along with some beautiful flowers from their yard. The house was fully stocked with everything you could need. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the property. We will be back for sure!
I have rented over 30 times through VRBO, and this is the nicest property we have stayed in. Host was superb; very easy to communicate with. Cleanliness was immaculate and every amenity provided that you could think of. This is a very highly rated property for a reason. We enjoyed the home, sitting by the stream, the firepit and the screened in gazebo. Loved the large, screened in porch attached to the home and the deck with a grill. The secret garden is charming! Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Several cute towns within 30-40 minutes. The photos and description are completely accurate. Don't hesitate to book this one!
When we walked into CreekHouse, our stress just melted away. We were greeted with calming music, ready to bake cookies, a wildflower bouquet and a sign welcoming us. Our hosts were very easy to work with and answered all our questions quickly. The cottage was very clean, beds were comfy and sheets and towels were good quality. Our hosts provided detailed instructions on using the home as well as lots of information about what to see and do while we were in the area. We immediately decided that the screened in porch was our favorite place and ate all our meals there. The sounds of the birds and the creek in the morning and the incredible starry sky at night added so much to our stay. I wish our stay had been longer and we hope to be able to return to CreekHouse some day.
We decided to head up to the mountains for the 4th. of July holiday for some cooler climate and found this amazing place. The Creek House was everything it promised and more! We fell in love with this beautiful property and its surroundings. Yindra and John definitely deliver on their “super host” status, from the booking and through our stay the communication and helpful information was excellent. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming and charming personal touches like the beautiful background music, fresh cut flowers, welcome sign with our names including our fur baby, and homemade cookies!! The house and the grounds are picturesque, very homely feeling, beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean with all the necessary amenities. The grounds and the creek are amazing, the fireflies at night time are mesmerizing. There are a lot of great attractions within a 30-40 min. drive. We’ll definitely rebook this property next year.
We were looking for a good place to go with our two dogs where they could run and play off-leash. This property was absolutely perfect for them. They had a ball. But we did too.
There were so many special things about this cabin. Kitchen literally had everything - including some beautiful pottery pieces. Many things to keep us occupied if we had to stay in (CDs, DVDs, books, games, musical instruments), but fortunately our weather was perfect.
Everything was so comfortable. In the bedroom, there was an electric blanket and a fan - so you could never be too hot or too cold! Great decorations and paraphernalia all around the house. Owners put so much thought into everything. You definitely feel like you are a guest and not a renter.
It really doesn't get better than this!
This was our second stay at this beautiful home. While some of the things we hoped to do during our time here in November didn't work out due to Mother Nature, we had a wonderful escape from the city. The sound of the creek is always peaceful no matter the season, and for me the proximity to Carver's Gap at Roan Mountain is a huge perk. We were also able to visit the Arthur Planetarium at Bare Dark Sky to see the James Webb Telescope show, which I highly recommend to anyone with an interest in astronomy. The cloud cover was too thick most nights this time around for us to do any stargazing, but we did catch a break for a couple of hours one night. My son's astonishment as he stared at Capella sparkling through my astronomy binoculars was a definitely highlight of our trip, as was his exclamation of "Woah! That is so cool!" at the planetarium show. The house is clean, the beds are comfy, and the special care taken by hosts Yindra and John is obvious at every turn. We will be back.
