"!!!!!!!!!AVOID THIS PROPERTY!!!!!!!!!!! So I booked this property on Expedia but it was through Vrbo . I booked it back in April almost 3 months before we was due to arrive. I booked it for a ultra marathon event I had planned . As we was making our 3 hour journey to property, I messaged the host, for some check in details etc. The property owner had only sold it on Air B&B at a higher rate . She wasn't apologetic in anyway and a unhelpful individual. And we was 1 hour away from dolgellau on...

Top Bala Hotel Reviews

Lion Quays Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good

"Room was clean & well equipped - grounds could do with some attention, but there were two gardeners working both days we were there & it is autumn after all. Breakfast was quite boring minimum cereals & juice - full English from buffet, but no choice other than fried eggs - no choice of poached or scrambled. Bar was very comfortable with good seating & open fire. Warm & cosy. Overall very good value for money - would definitely return there."

Y Pengwern

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely property and a super view out of the window. Nice place to park. Friendly visitors to the pub which the Hotel is part of. However you have to pass a mass of Smokers on the way in... Come on people the Pub has given you a lovely shelter in the rear garden and a container of the butts. Not littering the pavement outside please."

The Groes Inn

Tyn-y-Coed Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"What a wonderful place! All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, always with a smile on their faces. There was such a lovely, homely atmosphere that made us feel really comfortable and welcome. The restaurant was just as charming, with a beautiful, cosy atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious! We also loved the little details, especially how the hotel supports local Welsh businesses. Even the toiletries were made in Wales and smelled absolutely amazing! My fiancé and I were absolutely delighted with our stay. Such a special place, and we would love to come back! ❤️"

IXORA Hotel and Spa

10/10 Excellent

"We had a really enjoyable stay at the hotel. The hotel itself was modern, clean and well maintained throughout. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The food was very good, with breakfast being a particular highlight, offering plenty of choice and quality. Overall, a great experience and somewhere we would happily recommend and return to."
