Riverfront cabin, on a secluded section of the Middle Branch, Pere Marquette

  • Welcome to the Swinging Fly cabin! It’s a true cabin in the woods located on the Middle Branch of the Pere Marquette River in Baldwin Michigan (trout season applies on this section of river). It’s been recently remodeled from top to bottom - it’s a gem to be enjoyed year round. The Swinging Fly is located on 8.2 acres of property which includes 1,320 feet of private river frontage. You can fish right out the back of the cabin, or a short five minute drive down the road and you're floating on the headwaters of the Pere Marquette’s famous flies-only waters (year round fishing). There is also canoeing and hiking trails available. Try a section of North Country National Scenic Trail, it's the longest in the National Trails System, stretching 4,800 miles across eight states from North Dakota to Vermont and it passes right though the Huron-Manistee National Forest. Lake County also boasts 393 lakes, and 42 trout streams to explore within its boundaries.

Keep dirt and water out of the cabin. Hang wet items outside during summer. Waders can hang inside during winter if over boot trays.
Do your own dishes. Any excessive messes beyond laundry should be cleaned by the guest or an excessive cleaning fee may be charged.
No Waders worn in cabin. Four chairs are set up outside to don waders. During winter months there will only be one chair in breezeway do to snow.
