"Great place to stay with kids. Pools were excellent, kids are having so much fun. Hotel location is very convenient."

"Staff was not friendly and offered no explanations regarding breakfast or which rooms on the main floor were open for guest use. Since it is INCREDIBLY difficult to get to and there’s no towns nearby, we had no options but to eat dinner there. The food was good but this definitely brought up our overall costs. Our stay was okay but given that it was by far our most expensive stay of our Scotland trip, I can’t say I’d recommend it. P "

"The Breakfast menu was expansive and fresh, dining was quick, fresh, well presented and good value. Parking was easy as plenty of spaces and two carparks. The saff were friendly and very accommodating. There was a clean and adequate swimming pool, jacuzzi an well equipped gym."

"Our room was dated but spotlessly clean. Overall the hotel felt tired and lacked atmosphere particularly in the bar and restaurant areas. The awful rusty radiator was particularly off-putting in the bar area. However, the resort is perfectly geared towards a young family with lots of activities and of course the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. We had a great few nights away and our kids loved their time in Aviemore. "

"Fonab was ok,nothing special lights in bathroom were very poor,bedside lights weren't great i couldn't read my book with them,breakfast was mediocre definitely not as nice nor the quality compare to the last owners not good value for the money you pay."

"Bedroom was excellent, where the hotel falls down was the lounge area which lacked atmosphere and although you could purchase drinks, there was no bar…. and you were unable to see the staff pour. Tables and chairs very tightly packed together and not the most relaxing. Breakfast had a great choice of food but again tables very close together not much room to move between them. Staff were very friendly and pleasant."

"Hotel app charged £300+ for changing dates within minutes when i had originally booked the wrong dates in error. Phoned help centre but got nowhere. Very disappointing, wont use Hotel.com again better just phoning the hotel directly."

"Good large clean room with seating area as well as bed. Great view to Cairngorms. Rustic restaurant with reasonable eange of options. Only one beer available in the bar that night but many many whiskies. "

"Enjoyed our stay at Atholl Palace. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful room with amazing views. Great choice for breakfast. Will definitely return."
