The bathroom was almost impossible to bath in, and was dirty. The bedroom sheets smelled as if the Saint Patrick's Battalion had also there, also the pillows. There were no hangers in closet, with the owners things there that have us almost no space to hang a few things for us to hang. The zone where the property is, was very nice, shops close by were friendly and the pub was great! We can say that the only good thing was the coffee selection, and the location of the property.
We were surprised that this stay was just bed rooms. We didn't know that from the VRBO listing. It was very clean and adequate for our family of seven. We were surprised that we had no cooking facilities. Ciara was a fine host.
This is a great place to stay if you are just sleeping there. I didn’t read all the information correctly so was surprised that there wasn’t a kitchen or living room but that is on me completely. The beds were great for the 5 of us. The host is amazing.
The people were really kind and shared several different places we could visit. The town was really cute and just far enough away from Dublin to make us feel as if we were in the country.
House was clean and rooms were a good size. We had a miscommunication about the number of people staying. That was quickly resolved and all is good. All rooms on the upper level share a bathroom and that is the only room with a mirror.
Darling house in Ballyboghil. Only about 15 min. from the airport. Host was wonderful and so nice. Our bedrooms were large and nice and comfy. Big bathroom was nice. A good place to stay if you just need a room for the night close to the airport and out of the city.
From beginning to end Ciara went above and beyond for us; from recommendations, getting us a ride to the airport through a local cab service, to even mailing out postcards. Thank you for hosting us in your family home.
We were greeted at the door with lots of helpful advice for our flight the next day. The airport was 15 min away. The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds for our family of 4. We shared a bathroom with our family but it was strictly for the guests. I appreciated the little things like a pitcher of water and candies in the rooms. We would stay again if we visit Ireland!

Be prepared to not have the house to yourself
Great people and clean place but it was not clear to me that we would have only 3 bdrms no kitchen, no living room or sitting area and one bathroom for 5 people and we were upstairs with one of their children and the family is in the house. I'm still giving four stars because it's not their fault, I must not have read clearly enough.

Ciara, our hostess was quite friendly and welcoming. Although, through no fault of her own, the water pressure in the upstairs bathroom was minimal. We therefore had to use the downstairs bathroom. With a party of 7 , this was somewhat inconvenient. Showers had to be staggered. No trash/garbage bins on the second floor. We were quite pleased with the bottle water, candy, crisps and tissues packaged left for our benefit. Also, Ciara went above and beyond by doing a load of laundry for us.

Home as lovely as the people in it.
We stayed for two nights and enjoyed every bit of it. We had our 88 year old nana with us and Ciara and Simon went out of their way to make her extra comfortable. Their home is beautiful and they were both so kind, easy going, helpful, and friendly. They took time to give us recommendation and chat with us about Ireland. I got the sense that if we had not been looking for help, they would have left us to it, so depending on what level of interaction you’re looking for, they would gladly accommodate any level interaction needed. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom is brand new. The town is small but had a great place for breakfast and a local pub. It’s in an area very close to the airport and not too far from downtown Dublin. We highly recommend Ciara’s home!
Description of home and accommodations is very misleading. All bedrooms (including the host family and daughter) are all upstairs. One room did not come with a key to lock the door. The TV in the daughters room was played very loudly. The description said friendly cat and dog, which they were but the dog barked throughout the night and one of the guest bedrooms smelled of cat pee. The lockbox to the house was broken and we were not given our own key. We were told to call or text them an hour before we expected to be back so someone would be there to open the door. There was no main sitting room so we had to stay in our rooms. We checked in early (2hours) and were told that check in was strictly 6pm. They let us in but they could have told us we were early and we would have waited. All of our other accommodations in Ireland were very pleasant and flexible on check in times. Overall if you are comfortable sleeping in a room next to your hosts bedroom, don’t mind terrible screaming coming from a nearby park, barking dogs (but friendly), and having to plan your coming and going then this is the place for you. We left after one night and found a hotel.
Gerne wieder!

Hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. The problem for couple in the double room was that they needed s bigger bed as the double one was too small and the husband did not sleep at all (he is 6” 3’.)
