"Cottage had everything you may need. Small welcome pack with tea/coffee/sugar/milk and shortbread for your arrival. Off road parking was a bonus. Chip shop within walking distance which was also an ice cream shop, post office and sold some groceries. Wonderful beach within walking distance too."

"Very relaxing stay! It was nice having two bathrooms, too. Note that they are both upstairs in the cottage. Not a problem for us, though. Place was cozy and comfortable. The pub next door closes early so patrons and any noise coming from there ceases early. Bed was comfy, too. "

Stunning 6 bedroom 6 bathroom country home with large private indoor heated swimming pool
10/10 Excellent
"Great property. Lots of space. Swimming pool lovely and warm and much bigger than I thought it would be. Garden is a great space.Very good host. Answered every question I had. Would definitely return"
"Clean room, comfy bed. Car park is small but plenty on street parking nearby. Great price. Premises are looking a bit tired and dated but that is fairly reflected in the price. Single room was small but functional. Very close to town centre with a good selection of cafes and takeaways within easy walking distance."
"I cannot find anything bad to say about this hotel. The hotel is exclusively run by a family and I give 5 stars for how well it is done by this family. Service, information, willingness to help everyone was just fantastic. It was a great jumping off place to drive to all the locations we visited around the area. I especially liked the cleanliness of this establishment. No other place could compare."
"Absolutely beautiful stay! The grounds were so lovely, we saw baby swans on our drive in. Did not stay long enough to try the golf course but the grounds were beyond maintained. We were lucky to get a huge gorgeous room. The room itself was lovely and the bathroom was spectacular. Did not stay long enough to try the restaurants / bar but if I’m local again I will be there again."
"We visited White House Retreat in early May as a family and it was, without question, a trip we'll be talking about for a long time.
The house is absolutely stunning — full of personality, vibrant colours, and thoughtful touches throughout. The charming country kitchen with its bold red accents, mint-green cabinetry, and traditional Aga range quickly became the heart of our stay breakfasts here felt like a proper event. With three separate living areas spread across two floors, there was plenty of space for the kids to run around and for the adults to find a quiet corner when needed.
The setting in Banff is beautiful. Private gardens wrapping around the house, glorious Scottish light pouring in, and the Moray coast just ten minutes away — it felt like a proper escape from the everyday. We explored the town, visited nearby castles, and the kids absolutely loved every moment of it. There's a wonderful sense of adventure just on the doorstep.
One small thing worth mentioning — the heating in the downstairs bedroom wasn't working during our stay. It didn't spoil our trip at all since the mild early May weather was kind to us, but it's worth flagging and we'd hope the owners get it sorted for future guests.
Apart from that, it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The kids are already asking when we're going back — and honestly, so are we. White House Retreat is a very special place."
"Perfect place to explore Dufftown and Craig. The staff are helpful and eager to make sure everything is just right. Highly recommend the Sunday Roast and Whiskey Room. "
"Room dirty , no remote for tv No breakfast in morning even though we were charged for breakfast,no one available at all in the morning, tried calling the phone number supplied but no answer , finally got the manager at 12oclkck midday ,told them about my issues and they did not care in the slightest ,told me to contact hotels .com ,absolutely disgusting behaviour customer service zero .
