It's a very nice hotel and most of the staff are very friendly. It is perfect for a few days if you want to visit all the tourist attractions along the river. The pool is superb, however there's hardly any shade at all and it does get very busy.
Everything is well maintained, the surrounding garden is very nice and you get a lovely view of the river both from the restaurant terrace and from the pool.
The view is also sensational from the river view suites.
The rooms are clean but a lot of dust is being overlooked (at least in our room).
In terms of location, it is a long way from the nearest BTS, Saphan Taksin so you will either need transport or you can take the free river shuttle to the BTS which comes every 30 minutes.
There's a 7 eleven downstairs which is handy.
The Chao Phraya river gets very busy and noisy at night so if you have a river view room or suite, it will be noisy until quite late but that will be the case at any riverside hotel in Bkk so not specific to this one.
