The hotel is located conveniently with easy walks to restaurants/bars/shops. Hotel staff are very friendly, special thanks to Ploy at reception upgraded our room and provided exception service. Guest rooms are clean and spacious and hotel amenities are well maintained. Strongly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a favorite of mine. The location, the employees are all making it very comfortable. Very service minded. Only thing I would request The hotel to change, is their breakfast buffet Policy (btw the breakfast is very good and in pleasant settings). Once you are in the breakfast area, you can't leave. That's my only little suggestion.

Fantastic stay. Service excellent. Upgraded fr Deluxe Rm to Suite - Rm 903. V spacious / clean. Modern int design. Only knocks: 1/ distance fr bed to bath far. Almost woke me going there/ back. 2/ lack silverware? Cups/plates yes. 3/ too many light switches. Due to size/design of suite. 4/ Shower/bath design. Can’t turn on water first to fill the tub given the fixed half shower door. 5/ towel quality avg. 6/ Toilet Paper access inconvenient. 7/ BR window view not best. Looks on HVAC unit. 8/ .9 km to BTS. 9/ Thai food room service could be much better. Ticky-tacky things yep. What I noticed/ liked: 1/ toilet paper high quality. 2/ bedding/mattress quality high. 3/ blackout curtains worked well. 4/ small mall adjacent has almost everything you want. Called Eight Thonglor I sampled the ThongSmith (famed boat noodles), 24 hr Thai diner in the basement (Tae Dee luk?). Was tempted w/ the Indian Masala Art, the Omakase restaurants, shabu shabu, 24 hr burger jt & Din Tai Fung. 24 hr Foodland mkt. Paul’s bakery. 5/ Great Japanese around, Marche mall, Suppanigga, El Gaucho steak. 6/ service EXCELLENT. They moved my bags in when I was rushed @ checkin. 7/ elevators fast. 8/ housekeeping unintrusive yet thorough. 9/ Easy/speedy checkin/out. 10/ motorcade for dropoff. No rain issues. Need to try spa, pool & on-site restaurants I booked early Oct w/ wife & will UG to suite & pay! Better location for Thonglor action!

Staff were incredibly polite and welcoming. Room was stunning. Bed was extremely comfortable, we had a great night's sleep. Shuttle service was really useful and unexpected so we were pleasantly surprised. Definitely a hotel we will be revisiting and highly recommending to others!

This is my first time leaving a review. I’m usually too lazy to give review but it really bothers me this time that I had to give this hotel a review. This is my second time staying in this hotel in the last week, I’ve stayed 2 nights and went to Japan and came back for another 2 nights, to be honest the hotel itself is very nice, big room big bathroom comfortable bedding’s, what you expect at a small luxury hotel, but I had the worst ending to my not too bad stay, I check out today on the 11th of Sept 2023 and check out time is at 12pm, right at 12pm on that very second I got a call from front desk while I was preparing to go down, asking me if I’m ready to check out today and right now, and of course I reply nicely yes I’m about to come down, and after 2-3 minutes housekeeping came knocking in the room to come check the room. So I went rushing down with my 2 suitcase and the whole process of check out took maybe 30 seconds and that was it. In my mind I was thinking what is the rush? I know check out time is at 12pm but to call right at 12 to ask your guest if you are ready to leave like you are in a hurry for me a leave is just unacceptable, it completely ruins my good impression that I had with them, as a hotel you want to make your guests feel welcome wether they are checking in or out, but that whole thing that I just experienced in the end is just not ok. I don’t think I will come back here again and it’s a shame because I really like this hotel

What a great place to stay for our 5 day stay in Bangkok! First off, all of the staff here are absolutely AMAZING, especially Tom (hotel manager) and will greet you from the moment you walk into the hotel, and the front desk staff also speaks English well and were very accommodating any time I had questions. The hotel is in the Sukhumvit area, next to the 8 Thonglor shopping mall, which has a few different good restaurants, shops, and ice cream shop inside as well as a market open 24 hours for convenience. As a solo female, I felt safe exploring the area on my own. Thonglor nails was down the street and I got a great mani/pedi. Plenty of massage parlors on the same street, as well as banks for currency exchange. The bed in the room was very comfortable, and we received a room upgrade that had both a waterfall shower and removable head. A booklet in the room was also very helpful to understand the area and how to use the BTS train (Thong Lo stop) which was about a 6-10 min walk for me. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future! Thanks for everything.

Staff was so friendly and so accommodating! Concierge Ya was so helpful with information. Breakfast had so many options. The rooftop pool was so nice and clean. The only issue was the location of this is in a busy area and it was a bit far from the street markets and downtown but transportation was affordable so it wasn’t an issue.

Affordable luxury in a hi-so location
Staying in Akyra Thong Lo with my family was an overall great experience. We booked the 2-bedroom suite and the space, convenience, comfort, and service made the trip to hot and gritty Bangkok more enjoyable. The room itself needs some reconditioning of chipped paint in the drawers, and the bathrobes need replacing, but these really are minor things that don't take away much from the experience.

My husband and I picked Akyra Thong Lor as our first accommodation for a recent Bangkok trip, which was the first time we flew overseas after we got married. Upon check-in, the staff were all really accommodating and settled us in the lounge while waiting for our room to be ready. And they even gave us a free upgrade knowing this is our first trip as a married couple! Many pleasant memories and we will always remember the friendliness and professionalism of the staff here - definitely worth a visit (and repeat visits!) we really enjoyed our stay and even though the BTS was quite a distance away, the pickup location for grab/bolt drivers was convenient and accessible (right at the door step!) there’s also a small shopping mall just right beside the hotel with food options and there are two 7-11s nearby, one directly across and one further down the same street. We throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!

We had the most perfect staycation at Akyra and could not fault it. The staff were amazing and could not do enough for us. At breakfast, the staff were able to suggest options for vegans and vegetarians and accommodated us brilliantly. We had a one bedroom suite and it was really big, yet comfortable. The bed and pillow were like a cloud which was perfect for lounging while watching the numerous English channels. I cannot wait to stay again!

Quick staycation. Hotel is a little dated, shower and bath are both inside the deep sunken bath. The sunken is quite high thus dangerous. Prefer the newer hotels where shower and bath tub are separated. Room is big but guess it was initially designed more as an apartment than a hotel.

One week business trip in Bangkok. This is one of our favorite hotel in Bangkok. Nice design. Good location. Good choice of food. And lots of happening around the hotel. Sort of hipster district. Only issue : can be horrible traffic on Thonglor street even at midnight!

Location was great, with many food options around the area. Rooms and bed were comfortable. And most of all the staff were amazing — they were extremely friendly and helpful. We had an issue with a Grab driver and one of the staff came out to help.

I am disappointed about my second stay at the Akyra Thonglor Bangkok hotel. Although I did send a message in advance to inform the hotel that we might be late if our nite flight delay, they did nothing in advance for arrangement. We check-in around 1:00 am with my family and friend and assigned to the room on 12 Floor. We found that the room is not with one king bed and two single beds. We went down to the Reception Counter and asked for assistance. We then being assigned to a room on 8 Floor and then 14 Floor of which the rooms still without two singled beds. We were so tired and suggested to stay on 12 Floor, and one rolling bed has arranged into the room. When we took a bath, we found out the missing of shower gel and blow dryer inside the toilets. After my review of the 'sorry message' of check-in, the Management Team of the hotel sent some fruits. They offered either give us a complimentary lounge drink, late checkout, or free drive to the airport in expressing their sincere apologies. I did not ask for any advantages for my second stay at Akyra, but I am disappointed why I paid for the 'Two Bedrooms Deluxe Suite' but did not get the expected room type.
