"LOFTY-DIGS" A private, spacious studio in downtown Bangor.

LOFTY-DIGS is a brand new studio that we recently built in the upstairs of our barn. The studio is private, spacious, and inviting. Our location is within walking distance to all that Bangor has to offer including outdoor music venues, excellent pubs and restaurants, the beautiful Walk along the Penobscot River, and Stephen King's house is just 2 blocks away. The airport is only a 10 minute drive. There is a bus stop 200 yards from the house. The Northern Light Hospital EMMC is a 12 minute drive. The Casino is a 5 minute drive.

Friendly hosts yet gave us our privacy.Explanations on how to operate appliances / heat pump were clear. Enjoyed the Bosch radio. Banana bread was delish. Sheets were so comfortable and smelled so nice and fresh. Thanks so much!

Lofty-Digs is a true hidden gem.

This was my second stay, and once again, it did not disappoint. The loft is accurately represented in the Vrbo listing—no surprises, just a beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed space. Carol, the host, was warm, welcoming, and readily available if I needed anything, which made the stay even more comfortable. The neighborhood was peaceful and felt very safe, perfect for relaxing or taking a quiet stroll. If you’re looking for a cozy, reliable getaway that consistently delivers, this spot is a standout.

Wonderful host!!

Very clean and updated. Carol was very helpful when I had a travel snafu interrupting plans. Also left amazing banana bread which was a treat. Would stay again!

Wonderful hosts and accommodations!

My wife and I stayed here for a week and it was the best!!! I can’t say enough about the hosts and their dog. They helped us find places to visit and suggested local restaurants. The loft was private, quiet, and in a great location to all things Maine.

Cozy apartment with plenty of charm!

Loft Digs is great!

Fantastic

Carol and John have done all the right things in this property. Very modern, clean and spacious for two people. Walking distance to all restaurants and amphitheater. Will definitely stay again on our next visit to Bangor.

Every detail is considered--high quality cookware and small-space but functional appliances, comfortable bed and sitting area, terrific shower, high quality linens, and coffee with cream! The hosts were responsive and accommodating. Great space for one or two people. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect and lovely loft for our vacation!

Lofty digs was a perfect location for our extended vacation in Maine. It has everything we needed, the hosts thought of every detail! The bed was extremely comfortable, air conditioning was a treat at the end of a hot day of touring ( we had other family come to Maine and stay at other vacation rentals who did not have that luxury). The hosts were extremely helpful and gracious , thoroughly enjoyed Carols delicious homemade banana bread! Thank you again, and if we come back to the area we would definitely stay again!!

Fabulous time

The room was great, clean and well thought out. You can walk to Stephen Kings home and walk downtown.. felt very safe. Drove to Acadia park several days, not a bad drive. Stay here!! You’ll love it!!

Love this place! Great location and Carol couldn't have been friendlier or easier to work with! Beautiful historic home and amazing neighborhood. The insurance deposit probably should have been listed before the end of the booking process but with such a beautiful home we understood. Thanks for all of your help and kindness during our stay. Marge is cool too!

We would like to thank Carol for providing such a clean, comfortable and welcoming stay at Lofty Digs. She met us at the door, explained certain things such as a/c controls, gave us contact info should we have any further questions or need assistance, and made us feel right at home. The loft was stocked with various necessities such as coffee, tea, spices and the like. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was roomy - we would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Stay in Lofty Digs

My husband and I trail our motorcycle to Maine for our stay. We had plenty of parking accommodations for our truck, trailer and motorcycle. The loft upstairs was easily, accessible, safe, well lit, and very nice. The room itself was also extremely clean and everything looked new. we had great communication with the owner who was also on site and available when we needed. We had a great conversation and felt very welcome. The area was also very safe and we were told it was close to Steven King‘s house, which was an added bonus! We were able to walk there and see where the writer lives. we spent most of our time touring Maine, but we’re very comfortable later in the evening and throughout the night. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked. Great, there was coffee and other basics. Overall, we had a great stay and what highly recommend. Thanks for the stay, and for the great memories!

Charming studio

By far the best VRBO experience we’ve had. This absolutely charming studio was immaculate, spacious, warm, and welcoming. Carol and John are delightful hosts who obviously take great pride in their rental. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Every aspect of this space was designed with care for your comfort. My husband and I were there in Bangor for a long weekend to take in a water front concert which was only a short 10 minute walk from the studio. Perfect location! We also used it as a jumping off place to head into bar harbor/Acadia national park (about an hour drive). My only hesitation in writing this rave review is out of fear it’ll booked up and we won’t be able to return next summer :). Thank you so much Carol and John for an unforgettable stay.

Fantastic Studio Apartment

Carol is a great host. She responded to my original questions almost immediately. The check in instructions were on point. She actually met me while I was checking in. Bonus points for the delicious zucchini bread she left on the front table as a welcome. Very nice property for a single guy such as myself or for a couple. I couldn’t have asked for more during the 5 days I spent there.

studio rental that was comfortable and convenient

Upstairs unit with no elevator--might be an issue for some people. Small deck overlooking the beautiful garden. Off street parking. Newer unit had all working appliances. I would stay again.

Wonderful space and hosts!

The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, offering plenty of recommendations for restaurants and local attractions and tips for getting around. Check-in and check-out were very simple. The property was just a few minutes drive from the heart of Bangor. A wonderful place, would stay here again!
