Central Location & 1 mile to Hawksnest. Our Game Room has a Pool Table & Game Table, along with a large sofa & 55" TV. Our Main Floor Living Room offers an additional large sofa & 55" TV.

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway at Ruth’s place! Cleanliness was top notch. Host communication was great and Ruth provides lots of information prior to arrival and on property. location is perfectly located between several towns with lots to do. Downstairs game room was perfect for the kids to play. Lots of wildlife on property, was really cool to see.The hike to Beaver falls was a 1 min drive and pretty easy for anyone without mobility issues.

Wonderful Getaway

We were looking for somewhere for the young adult worship team to bond and this was the perfect location. The layout of the home is great with the game room and outdoor accommodations plus the bedrooms were very clean and very comfortable, The host was so easy to get in contact with and they helped with any and all questions in an impeccable manner. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Grandfather mountain adventures

Wonderful Little Vacation Getaway :)

My family had such a good time relaxing at this beautiful place and home. The owners of this place are such good people and help us with whatever we needed! One thing for sure if I plan on coming back to Banner Elk, I’m most definitely booking their place again :)

Bachelorette's Trip Success!

My friends and I stayed at this location for my bachelorette trip and we hardly left the place! It was cozy, homey and our hosts were extremely accommodating. I will absolutely be back to stay with them in the future, I loved this place so much!!!

Great family vacation

Wonderful place - the actual house was better than the pictures! Beautiful views! Cozy place with a great mix of outside porch and inside games that kept 3 generations all together. Highly recommended!

Weekend Family Getaway

We stayed here for a quick birthday getaway. Everything was exceptional! The house is located in a great spot with beautiful views. The house was clean and communication with the owners was a breeze. We are saving this location for future visits!

Amazing vacation home with amazing views and amenities!

Wonderful, clean, well maintained home with one of the best views in the high country. (Owner) is amazing and makes it super easy to communicate regarding details of the stay or otherwise! Goes the extra mile to inform and educate on attractions, restaurants, and other opportunities in the area. I have stayed here twice within the past 4 months and am looking forward to our next stay!

This place was just as described and as viewed in the photos. It was great for our trip with 2 young families. The views are amazing! The hot tub set up is great! The owner was so helpful and made everything so easy! We will definitely be back!

Great location and beautiful home

Our family had a lovely stay here and would DEFINITELY stay here again! The location is perfect between Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and Boone. The house is exactly like the photos. The view is beautiful. The owners were quickly responsive with any question i asked whether it was about groceries stores or best gem mining location. We made s'mores in their fire pit, relaxed in the hot tub, played Pac-Man (which I loved so much and watching my 3 & 6 year old try it too), hiked Otter Falls which was so close to the house, and got to see deer right outside. I will definitely be booking this place next summer for another lovely vacation away from the Florida heat.

My family and I had a wonderful time here. The house has everything you might need and more. The family room is well stocked with games and a the pool table kept everyone occupied. The house is centrally located to shopping, breweries, and the many outdoor attractions available. Clean, quiet, and well maintained property. We definitely plan to come back!!

Large family getaway

This was the perfect size for our family of 10. It was cozy, but yet enough room yo spread out as well. The pool and pingpong table was great for my boys. The house is very well stocked for the area and the covered hot tub/fire table area was very nice because we were still able to wnjoy it even in the rain. We would highly recommend and would stay here agian when visiting the area.

Spot on with Family Vacation Spot!

We had a great time visiting this VRBO. We had a range of ages visiting with us who all enjoyed their time. We were able to enjoy the game room, hot tub and morning sunrise views with our family - we even got to see some snow and flurries on our way out. ☺️ We are super grateful for Ruthie and her family for helping us with recommendations as well. We hope to come back in the near future!

Wonderful weekend trip

This place was amazing. I would give 6 stars if I could. My family stayed here this past weekend for a wedding in Banner Elk. The place was very clean when we arrived. The owners were very accommodating and communicated extremely well. The house was stocked with everything we needed and more. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking in this area.

Bachelorette celebration

6 girls for the weekend! The girls and myself loved the view along with the house. It is a curved road to get there but highly worth it. The host is great to work with and helped every step of the way. Highly recommend.

Amazing

What an incredible place to stay, 5 star all the way. Multiple spaces that will entertain a whole family, cosy, efficient, super clean. We were able to enjoy Blowing Rock, Boone close location and even went to Sugar mountain. Pool table and Pac man video was a hit for the adults, entertaining for sure. Fully stocked kitchen and coffee to sit and enjoy incredible views of Grandfather mountain. Will return for sure.

Great views, Better Accommodations!

This was a great place to stay! We have stayed at a number of locations and this one literally has it all! The kitchen was stocked great, the house has everything you need to relax (hot tub, great porches with views, etc) and for the kids to enjoy as well (games - board games, video games, pool, and more). The owners were also great about communication. Always available for any questions.The beds were comfortable and the rooms were large. Having two living rooms was another added bonus. The only downside was the stay wasn't long enough, but they never are. Would totally recommend for one or two families - great place to stay and great owners!

Best VRBO Ever Stayed At

I would give this place 10 stars if it would let me. To start the host is great and really truly cares about you having the best stay possible. The home is exactly as advertised if not even better. Everything is stocked amazingly from the games, books, baby items to every kitchen utensils/tool you could possible want or need and then some. The views and sunrises were breathtaking and something we will cherish. The hot tub made an amazing home even better with being able to relax and take in the views. We are already planning our trip back to this home next year.

Cozy Family Getaway

We had a great time for our family weekend in the cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast every morning too! The couches and living areas are comfy, and we really enjoyed the fireplaces. The home had a lot of nice touches that made it cozy and feel like home. The kids enjoyed the pool table, and there were lots of games to choose from. We had eight people, and we all had room to spread out and have space. We enjoyed the proximity to the ski lodges too! We will definitely be back! Definitely one of the best vacations we have taken!
