Chic Mountain Lodge on 7 acres with a private pond. Let the kids run and play, while the adults relax on the deck. Our lodge is nestled in the trees, where you can hear the cool mountain wind blow and the birds chirp.

5 bedroom, 3 bath cabin/lodge with a full basement and walk out patio below.

The master suite and the two larger bedrooms, kitchen, dining, great room, and deck are located on the main level of the house.

We have 2 smaller bedrooms, 1 bath and 1 loft with a day bed and pull out trundle upstairs.

Downstairs in the
basement, we have a 1200 SQ ft gameroom, with a 65" tv and sitting area, ping pong area, pool table area, and laundry area. We have a queen pull out sofa available in the gameroom.

From the gameroom, you can access the patio and hot tub with a view of the grounds below.

Our lot is approx. 7.5 acres, mostly wooded. We have a small creek and spring-fed pond (not for swimming) on the grounds.

There is not another house in sight from our deck. It's wonderful! :)

We have parking available in the front of the house for 2-3 cars, which is a flat gravel area. There is additional parking available in a driveway to the right of the house; however that driveway is a bit steep.

Amazing Stay!

What an amazing place for families! We had 3 families with kids ranging from 13-24 and everyone loved the house. The game room was so fun and the deck was so great for socializing and relaxing. We made meals and the kitchen was very easy to use. So close to so many attractions we will be back for sure!!

Snow vacation!

Location ideal. . . Remember it is on a mountain, so i was a little nervous when driving.. kitchen fully stocked(utensils/ plates/ pots)... plenty for the kids to do.... plenty of room if u need a blow up bed, we had a large group everyone was comfy!comfortable.

Awesome family property

Our large family, ten of us ages 8 to 65, had plenty of space to relax. Game room was a big hit as was the fire pit and hot tub. Plenty to do in the area making for a great spring break.

As advertised. Very spacious and comfortable sleeping for our 10 adults. Winter storm and probably 10 inches of snow that week and though a four-wheel-drive was needed it was easily accessible and ample parking for fairly large vehicles. Hope to return.

Beautiful, quiet house in the mountains

Plenty of space to bring a large group and well maintained. Big dining room and plenty of countertop space in the kitchen. The back porch/balcony looks out over a hollow on the side of the mountain with lots of big, beautiful trees, birds and a few deer around. Food and local attractions are all within a short drive. Great place to go for some piece and quiet.

Perfect Ski Weekend House!

Our group takes a ski trip every year, and I can say this is by far the best house we've ever rented! Everything was accurately described and the hosts were great and responsive. The kitchen was very well equipped which is always a plus. The views are beautiful and calming. It was truly a perfect place to come back and relax in the hot tub or play a game of pool after long ski days. Highly recommend!

Perfect for big family retreat

The place is spacious and clean.. with lots of amenities. Big game room where a lot of fun can be have. The only downside of this place is there’s no trash service… we have to take our trash 10 miles down the road.

Lovely mountain home

This house was perfect for our family get-together. We came to NC from three different states to spend a few days together. Six adults, four teenagers, two kids - the three floors were perfect for spreading out with different activities. Brooke was very responsive to our inquiries. Highly recommend!

Peaceful family getaway

It took a minute to get over how *steep* everything was around the house and neighborhood, but it turned out to be a feature, not a bug! We had a wonderful time visiting the local area attractions like tubing at Wahoos and riding the alpine coaster, but the pond and the fire pit/hot tub were favorites with everyone!

Well equipped, beautiful home

I stayed at this property with a group of friends for a board game weekend. The kitchen and kitchen table had plenty of space for making meals and eating. We were happy with the opportunity to use the game room downstairs to play ping pong. The hot tub worked fine, and all the beds were comfortable.

It was perfect for us! Purpose for our stay was to spend the day with our 7 year old granddaughter at tweetsie railroad. When our family found out we were going they all wanted to come join us in the fun. The location of this house was great for us. Easy to find places to eat in banner elk and also blowing rock. Loved the game room downstairs also.

Mountain Stay

This year, we decided on this lovely cabin to celebrate Christmas with family and also attend Christmas at Tweetsie. We loved our stay in this spacious mountain home. The cabin included lots of entertainment, and even had some toys for the smaller kids. The kitchen was also well stocked. A great amenity was the hot tub that offered a serene view of the mountains and a great relaxation spot. If you’re looking for a cozy place away from the hustle of town, this is the place for you!

Great property!

The house was all we expected and more. Great playroom. Large and very well equipped. Large kitchen and dining room that fit 11 people comfortably. Had 4 teenagers and 3 kids that had a great time in the playroom considering we had 2 rainy days. The owners responded quickly and were really nice.

Huge Vacation Home for Us

We absolutely loved this place. There was nothing lacking in comfort, cleanliness and recreation. My 85 year old mother was with us and she was even happy. :) There was room enough here for the five kids and 7 adults to get away from one another and have their on space. So much fun. TVs in all the rooms, so no arguing by anyone. This was the best family vacation we've had in years! Wish there was a store in walking distance. Can't wait to go back.

Highly Recommend

We had a lovely stay. We were there to ski Sugar and Beech and the house was right in the middle location wise to get to both. The house was perfect for our group- adults and kids. Kids loved the space downstairs while the adults enjoyed the quiet upstairs. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for big family dinners. Very family friendly. Would definitely look at returning! Thanks!!

Best place and host ever!

Loved every bit of our stay at this fantastic spot with my wife, her sister, our parents and spouses...was fantastic! I absolutely loved walking down to the pond multiple times a day - once in the morning and once in the evening... Observing deer, squirrels, birds, butterflies, bees, and chipmunks out of the pond, and Eastern Newts, crawfish and more in the pond! The beds were also comfortable, as were the rooms. The Kitchen had everything we needed to fix meals and more. We played lots of boardgames together in the dining room as well! Loved everything and the host was quite informative and helpful.

Wow! What a Weekend

We had a dozen of our Family infor the 3 day weekend and it was wonderfull. This house is very well suited for large groups. The downstairs game room was a hit for all of our family. Brooke our property host was on top of everything and easy to reach. While I gave a 5 star rating, I would make one small suggestion, outdoor storage for trash would be a huge plus. I would highly recommend this property to anyone hosting a large group.

Labor Day Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin in Banner Elk. We chose the cabin over other possibilities because the pictures made it seem roomy and we wanted space to spread out. The pictures did not lie. The main level had lots of room for us to hang out and tons of seating for dining so we could all sit together. We really appreciated all the amenities downstairs in the recreation area. The pool table in particular got a lot of use and it was so nice to have a play area and a table and chairs for the kids down there as well. We spent a lot of time out on the wraparound porch also. The hot tub was great and we made s'mores one night at the fire pit. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed to make all our meals in. Definitely a five star stay.

Spacious home with lots of entertainment options

Came out for four days with our family and the kids' friends. Everything was as described. Nice remote location but close to Banner Elk and Boone as well as a couple ski resorts and parks. Our only issue was weather related. We got snow and had some issues with the very steep road leading into the neighborhood. Had to buy snow chains just to get around safely, though we were driving a front wheel drive car, which didn't help. Something to be aware of if coming in the winter when it might snow. This has nothing to do with the rental property but a potential issue for the area.

Magical

This property is an absolute gem of a find! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware, the beds were comfortable, and the property was absolutely stunning. We had about 5 cars and had no trouble being able to park in front of the home while keeping the road clear; however, if you have longer vehicles such as SUVs and pickups you may have a harder time. There was room in the side driveway for ~2 larger vehicles, the spots in front of the house we were able to pull in perpendicular but all were smaller sedans and one smaller SUV with no problems. Brooke and Red were easy to get ahold of and communicated very well! The trash drop off was easy enough to find on our way down the mountain. Would absolutely stay here again!

Me and Mama’s Cabin Banner Elk- Highly Recommended

Phenomenal cabin that suited our six family members (ages 36-74) extremely well. Hosts Brooke and Red have furnished their vacation home in tasteful mountain decor. Having stayed in many timeshares and VRBO’s over 40 years this kitchen was stocked in extraordinarily fashion. There was more than enough cookware, dishes, utensils, cups, etc. to accommodate a full house. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a very thoughtful welcome basket in the kitchen upon arrival! Additionally, the hosts also provided items for younger visitors (toys, books, pack n play). Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the ping pong table downstairs in the game room. The weather also allowed us to utilize the hot tub and fire pit. Consider this mountain cabin for your vacation with family or friends. This was a beautiful place to stay!

Great place to stay with friends/family

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, everything was clean and we loved all of the decor. The house is in a great location, convenient to Boone and Banner Elk. Downsides were that there is nowhere to put trash, so we took all of our trash from 5 days to the dump which was inconvenient. I believe on the refrigerator door it says the cleaners will only take 2 bags of trash, so the rest you will be charged for. I do wish the “starter pack” was more generous considering the house accommodates a large number of people, so we needed supplies after our first day staying. There wasn’t laundry detergent, so definitely bring some. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the house and activities.

Mountain Weekend

We celebrated my husband’s 30th birthday with 12 of our friends (14 guests total) for a long weekend in Banner Elk. The house comfortably slept everyone with one couple on the pull out couch and another on the upstairs futon. The house was clean and provided the necessities like towels and kitchen equipment. The drive up the mountain was worth it when you arrived to the beautiful home. The spacious kitchen and large game room was perfect for our group that played board games, ping pong, and billiards all weekend! The drive into Banner Elk and to Sugar Mountain was short and easy allowing my husband and his friends to go skiing multiple days. Boone was also near by, giving us many options for leaving the house if we wanted! Our only dilemma we ran into was the trash policy. We were only able to leave 2 bags of trash on the property and had to take the rest with us (the hosts let us know that leaving the trash outside could attract bears). For us this was no issue since we all drove to the house and everyone was able to help with removing the trash. However, I could see this being difficult for anyone who may not have as much room in their cars or perhaps flew to the destination. Brooke and Red were such amazing hosts. They responded to my questions prior to our arrival and even when we were in the house. They left detailed instructions that were easy to follow and made the check out process simple. I would 100% recommend this house to anyone wanting a stay in Banner Elk.
