Cozy condo on the hill across from Sugar Mountain

Newly remolded cozy studio condo is perfect for couples or individuals who want to get away or looking for an adventure of Skiing or Hiking. Our cabin comes fully furnished and with all the comforts of home with a Queen size bed along with a blow up mattress (if needed) and free Wi-fi with streaming TV. The kitchen comes with all cooking essentials needed for a relaxing night in after a long day of adventure. You will be directly across from Sugar Mountain and a short drive to Beech Mtn, Linville Falls and Grandfather Mtn State Park.

Relax and unwind by the wood burning fireplace or on the deck overlooking nature with a backdrop of the slopes. Just under 400 sq feet, Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, enjoy Antique shopping, wine tasting and all the locally owned shops that Banner Elk and Linville Falls have to offer.

Great time

Wonderful location, very nice small place as a good home base to explore the area. Only complaint was inability to change the heat due a broken nob on the unit. Otherwise, very sweet experience.

This little place is a useful place to stay if exploring the area. It is an efficiency with a couch, bed and dinette for two. Dated but generally clean.

Convenient Location

My wife and I stayed here to get some skiing in, and it was perfect for us. We enjoyed the convenience to Sugar Mtn, and the wood burning fireplace. The host was super accommodating and very quick with responses to questions. He was also on point with checkin instructions and guidance. Thank You!

Ski condominium

Did not realize this was a condo. People staying above us very noisy. Tub didn’t drain and sofa needs cleaning. Cute place centrally located and we were able to get around to the area attractions very easily.

Good stay, as advertised

The condo is older, but it is cute. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We loved the balcony and the owner communication was great. There was a little bit of a musty smell, but Im very sensitive to smells and always travel with a candle for that reason. After lightning the candle, I didn't notice. We had a hard time figuring out the AC, but we closed the screen door and opened the sliding balcony door and that cooled us off. We would stay here again.

Towel were stained, coffee maker did not work at all, deck roof leaks profusely and it appeared no one was in there for quite a while due to all the cobwebs everywhere. It was a nice place but needs some attention.

Great location, very clean, but broken thermostat

Small cute place, located on the bottom floor of a townhouse style place. The stay would have been perfect had it not been for the very loud dogs overhead in the apartment on top of us and the fact that the heat wouldn't turn off. There was a controller for the thermostat, but it didn't work and the knob on the actual heater was broken off. It was unseasonably warm the weekend we went and after propping the patio door open (to no avail) I had to turn off the breaker just to get the heat to stop. Room was small, but very tidy. Perfect size for me and my daughter for the night. A lamp in the main room would help with lighting. Currently just the ceiling fan over the bed and the small recessed lighting in the kitchen, so it was hard to play games etc. The dogs could be heard clambering around until about 10pm, so not an issue if you stay out late, but not great for a young child. Appreciated the book with restaurant suggestions and the distance to different places being included. Bear theme was very cute.

En general ni del todo mal, pero tampoco excelente, la propiedad tiene telarañas, la puerta principal no tenia chapa y cerrarla era un problema, poca luz dentro, piden no dejar traste sucios pero no tiene con que lavarlos. La cama comoda, en general no pasamos frio y eso se garadece, el baño con agua calientita y también se agradece.

Weekend Stay

Was attending a charity event in the area and needed a place to stay that was close to the event. The condo was easy to find, central to Banner Elk and ski/ hiking areas in the region. Perfect size space for a couple or solo stay. There are some steps to deal with so just be sure you're able to walk on stairs easily. I'm sure the view is great in winter but while there the trees were still very green. The host Eric was gracious and easy to reach. The space was quiet and comfortable. If you like to cook or eat in, bring some paper plates as there isn't a lot of dishware. Overall it was very nice visit.

Perfect getaway for 1 or 2

This cute little apartment was a perfect place to stay to ski sugar mountain, which is directly across the street. The pictures were pretty accurate. It was neat and tidy and had been recently cleaned (the towels were even still warm). It’s small, just big enough for one or two but if you’re not planning on doing much more than having a place to rest and sleep after a long day of skiing or hiking this is perfect. Eric was a great host and very engaged. No complaints from me, but as another review mentioned be aware that it is in an apartment complex with another apt above and you can hear the people moving around very easily. So if it would bother you to hear people moving around at early or later hours this might not be for you. Overall, I really enjoyed the stay and would definitely choose to come back here.

Sweet chalet near ski slopes

This is a great little studio chalet near Sugar and Beech Mountains. It was clean, stylishly decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. It was completely comfortable for two people and easily accessible to restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shop, and attractions. While the condo complex is a little dated, the inside of this condo has been fully renovated and is up to date.

Very convenient location

The property was very well situated near many attractions in the area. The room was not as clean as it could have been with some trash left on the floor around the side tables of the bed. One of the lights above the sink was not working, but there was enough light to see and move around. The amenities worked well and we enjoyed our stay.
