Tiny House in the Trees with Fire Pit/Foscoe/No damage from Helene!

The space
Our tiny house is one 528 sf open room with a fully-equipped kitchen, table for four and bar-seating for two. In the living area there is a sectional sofa for reading, watching Roku TV or movies or playing board games. For sleeping, there is a built-in king-sized bed and a single bed (both are super comfy). There is also a full private bathroom with a shower accessible from the living area. The tiny house is also equipped with great Wifi!

We love the window-covered walls! It's like being in a tree house... on the ground:) Outside is an acre of flat wooded and grassy yard for exploring plus a firepit and plenty of seating (rocking chairs, swing, table and chairs). We leave you all of the things you need for a great fire!! There is a chance that guests will be staying next door at the antique cabin while you occupy the tiny house. On the other side of the cabin, there is a family favorite guaranteed-catch trout farm - but, occasionally, you may smell the fish!

Guest access
You will have access to all amenities on our property. Outdoors in warmer seasons, you can enjoy over an acre of our "cookie-sheet flat" land (a rarity in these mountains) with bocce ball, croquet, etc. We have a large grassy area for yard games and a wooded area for exploring, too. There are plenty of chairs in the yard for relaxing, reading, or chatting plus a firepit to warm you on chilly nights.

Other things to note *
Our cabin and tiny house are centrally located to just about everything in the area. The following towns or communities are just a 10-minute drive: Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Boone. There is great access to fishing on the Watauga River, hiking and views of Grandfather Mountain, zip-lining and snow tubing at Seven Devils, and skiing at Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, or Appalachian Ski Mountain. A full-service grocery store is only five minutes away. Also within a five-minute drive are restaurants, bars, coffee shop, day spa, hair salon, vineyard, hiking trails, park and playground, Watauga River fly-fishing, and a guaranteed-catch trout farm. Also of note, we get a good cellular signal on our property. Our property is treated but since we are in the middle of the woods there is a chance you will see a bug or two, especially during the warmer months!

Adorable tiny house.

Stay was great! A short stay of only one night, but would stay here again for longer periods. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was large, and the fire pit was great for relaxing.

Loved this tiny home. This was perfect for my husband and I and our golden retriever. Very comfortable bed and sofa and desk for working. The flat yard was great for playing fetch with the dog. Would definitely stay here again.

Sweet and quiet but not far from fun activities. Loved sitting outside by the firepit just breathing nature. Exactly R&R we were looking for! House was clean and tidy and perfect for us. I recommend this for a lovely getaway. Loved this tiny little gem!

Great escape

The tiny home had tons of windows. It was very quiet. Conveniently located close to Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock. Super close the the Grandfather Mountain profile trail as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Love Tiny House

Amazing property. Very quiet and comfortable. Could not have asked for more. Host has prepared an online guide to the property that was emailed prior to check in. Have stayed several places in the mountains but that guide book was really well done. Have never seen another one for any other property. Wait till you see the fridge! There was nothing wrong with it but the messages were unique. Bill & Linda

Disappointing

Functional space lacking any charm for the price. We were disappointed with traffic noise and behind commercial property. Online pictures made it look quite remote. Amenities like thick towels, better kitchen utensils, etc. could be improved without a lot of cost and would enhance a stay at this property.

The Beds Were Comfortable

Not what we pictured. This is an older structure located between a storage business and some sort of factory on the other side. Cut off the main road and make your way through sort of a junkyard to get to the house. All the outdoor furniture was covered with leaves, dirt, and cobwebs. Anytime you use hot water (shower, sink, etc.) it sounds like someone is using a chainsaw outside. Beds were comfy. In the mornings especially, you can hear loud, loud noises from some sort of factory (like dump trucks loading and unloading). If it’s just about location…it’s not bad. Close to Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather Mountain bridge.

Overall when life at home gets crazy and you just need to get away from all the hustle and bustle. My husband and I live about 45 minutes away and love the mountains. So, this tiny little house was great. We took out Great Dane puppy with us and she loved the house, she loved the yard, she loved the fire pit and we loved watching her run around and have a good time. That was very enjoyable for my husband and I. It was just what we needed. We have been married for almost 47 years and you still need to get away and relax, smell the clean mountain air. Anyway if we have the ability to rent it again we sure will and I would suggest you give it a try too.

Disappointing

We were so excited to visit this area. However, the property description was very deceiving. The property is located behind a storage unit not far from a buy highway. We were told that there would be wood for a fire. They left us a 2x4 and some sticks. There was an electric line down in the yard and the TV did not work. The internet was very slow. We came home 2 days early.

Tiny House Big Furniture

The house was cute, and the sectional couch doesn't belong nor does the second bed, together they took up much of the interior. Our only issue was with our arrival, we never received any instructions on entry, directions, etc., until we arrived. I contacted the owner and all went well afterwards.

Little house in the mountains

The tiny home was great for the two of us. Clean and very quiet!! Loved how centralized it was to two different towns and close to a gas station for late night snacks. Will stay again.
