The house was fine. It was like the ad described. Nicely decorated and spacious and really ample space for each guest. One big sore in our entire day was the fact that we didn’t find out until 40 minutes before our check-in that the main floor deck would be off-limits of having the entire deck be replaced and the reasoning that we could not be on this brand new deck was that it had not been inspected yet which I can appreciate but there’s no way they found out about the problem 40 minutes before our check-in, we should have been given days if not weeks notice to make other reservations because the outdoor deck is one of the most used things on our Vacations and also a huge reason why we picked that house because the view from it they did refund some of our stay a little over 10%. I’m appreciative of that but I would’ve rather been able to choose another property that we could’ve used the deck.
Everything was clean and organized except for the bottom floor shower head and handle which needs a replacement. The pool table had everything we needed and the arcade game had a lot to choose from. They had a chess set and other board games as well. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. Travel sized dish soap, sponge and two dishwasher pods were provided. No laundry soap was provided, and we needed to get more trash bags during our stay. The garbage cans outside were full from the previous stay and there was no trash pickup while we were there Tuesday through Friday. We did see some wildlife and the surrounding area was very peaceful and quiet. The rooms are very spacious and cozy. The view from the deck is incredible. Overall a really great place to stay for a large group, but make sure you bring everything you need as the trip to town and back will take up half your day.

The house was great, nice view, great bedrooms, ample space to spread out and for kids to play, well stocked, games, pool table, video games, etc. The hosts (property management company) was easy to reach and had clear instructions. However, there were a few issues and I debated 3 vs 4 stars because of how the property management company responded to them. They responded quickly but for each issue I reached out there didn’t appear to be a strong sense of accountability or care. First, we didn’t have access to the top deck due to structural issues, they refunded 10% of the trip for this which is fine (we’d obviously have preferred the deck but that was ok). When we arrived, the outdoor bins were full from previous guests and we couldn’t add any more trash. They told us to drive to a convenience trash center to drop off (gave us 3 different addresses that we then had to search for. Knowing we’d have to leave 1 day early due to a storm that was supposed to be disastrous, it felt unfair to have to do that. The dishwasher hadn’t been emptied prior to our arrival, which they said was because previous guests didn’t run it (no apologies either time). Then, everyone who used the hot tub (including 5 young children) got a rash (pseudomonas folliculitis - hot tub rash). They didn’t take responsibility or even say “I’m sorry this happened” and simply said the hot tub was serviced before our arrival and they’d pass that info along. There responses were polite but lacked care overall.
