"What a lovely property!! I booked through Expedia but they called day prior to verify check in. I mentioned my birthday and when I arrived I had a lovely surprise! A birthday treat was left in our room. Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable we ate one dinner at the attached restaurant and it was amazing. The bar was lovely with fireplaces to warm our bones! Highly recommend this hotel!"

"It was a clean, modern, well appointed hotel. Great buffet breakfast, and convenient pub/restaurant for dinner. All staff was very nice. The only drawback is that it is a little off the beaten track, as far as a variety of shops, museums, and other restaurants. "

"Check-in was easy & room was clean. Room is in need of some updating—paint, stained carpet, etc, but it is clean, spacious & a beautiful view. Dinner & service at The Dock was awful for the price. My shrimp was not a lime scampi, but frozen fried tough shrimp. Server was unfriendly and the food for the price was horrendous. Complete waste of money. Aldo sells better frozen shrimp I am sure. Location is beautiful & overall hotel is nice. Just don’t eat here."

"We had an amazing few days away at the Majestic Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the welcome and service we received was amazing. The friendliness of the staff was like nothing we have experienced before. Nothing was too much trouble, no matter how busy they were on a very busy St. Patrick’s Weekend. "All staff very efficient and pleasant. The only downsides were the small portions of chips at dinner and the pool which was cold. My daughter and husbands dinner had child size portions not value for the money charged. Also in this sort of hotel there should be a warmish pool,you wouldn't stay long in it. Also I couldn't see why after staying and 4 people having dinner and several drinks why I couldn't use the pool on the afternoon of check out. We both found that there was noise in this...

"Staff were really friendly and the food was good. However the tv in the room was quite small....would have expected a bit better for the cost of the room. There was also rubbish behind the tv unit, so that obviously hadnt been cleaned very well. We also got woken multiple times in the night because of drunk people outside and then delivery lorries at 4am. Overall our stay was good but I dont think we would stay in the hotel again."
