"The facilities were clean & updated. Very close to Acadia National Park entrance & downtown Bar Harbor. This was my first time using VRBO & was unfamiliar with trying to communicate with host but he did answer…the check in was confusing because there was no one in the office at all during our stay & had to figure out how to get into the room. Our family was over all very satisfied with this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent place to stay."

"The location was easy to find and quiet. Building and room were well kept, clean and comfortable. The staff and owners were amazing people! They really made you feel welcomed and were happy to make your stay the best! Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. They gave us suggestions for places to visit during our stay and we were not disappointed. The recommendations received were perfect! We plan on coming back as soon as we can. "

"Nice, clean motel room. Room was large and tastefully decorated. It had a microwave and a small hotel-sized refrigerator and an ice machine outside by the office. Maid brought fresh towels and emptied the trash daily but did not clean the room (you can opt out of this service). It was very quiet and was well outside the heavy tourist traffic found in Bar Harbor. Assigned parking (a single parking slot) is provided right outside the door. "Overall happy with our stay. Registration process on site was easy; room was very comfortable with a lovely view of Frenchmans Bay from the small balcony (partial view from inside). We didn't take advantage of some amenities shared with the adjacent Bluenose Inn since so much to see and do in the area, but nice that it was available. Very timely and friendly response to issue with in-room coffee maker. Would have been more comfortable had there been a bathroom fan to exhaust the shower steam/moisture. The clerk at checkout seemed impositioned to have to address issue with the room heat we had experienced our last night as well as recurrent coffee maker issue: unfortunate as the remainder of our five night stay was very enjoyable."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our glamping experience, though there were several areas for improvement. On the positive side, the tent was incredibly spacious and comfortably accommodated our entire family. We particularly appreciated having an en-suite bathroom that was larger than many hotel bathrooms we encountered on our trip. The property itself is beautiful, and we enjoyed the lodge, the pool, the jacuzzi, and the overall scenery and ambiance. However, there were a few drawbacks. The shower in our tent felt somewhat grimy, and the staff across the property seemed burnt out and largely unhelpful. We also experienced issues with our dining at the lodge, where our food was initially served cold, necessitating a remake. We were disappointed to find that the pool closes for children at 8:00 p.m.—a policy that was not disclosed in any of our booking documentation—and it was enforced by staff who seemed uncomfortable with the requirement. Additionally, the firewood provided for our private fire pit was too moist to light, and we were not provided with kindling. Finally, our tent (A-3) faced the busy highway leading to Acadia National Park; the traffic noise was very noticeable, even with earplugs, starting around 7:00 a.m. While we didn't have a bad stay, these issues kept the experience from being as great as it could have been."
