Gorgeous Downtown Bar Harbor Property

The Art Nook is conveniently located on Cottage Street, in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. Park your vehicle in the included, off street parking space and walk to all the downtown shops, restaurants and attractions. The grocery store is only a block away, as well as bicycle, kayak, and motor scooter rentals. Bar Island, which is part of Acadia National Park, is just a short walk down the street. Check out the tide chart, and at low tide walk on the beach to go across the sand bar, where you can hike to the top of Bar Island to see a great view of Bar Harbor. The free bus system, the Island Explorer, can be boarded from the Village Green, a short walk from the apartment. It can take you around Acadia National Park, to the top of Cadillac Mountain, to Sand Beach, and to other amazing destinations on the island. If you enjoy hitting the links, the Kebo Valley Golf Club is a short five minute drive away.

After an exciting day of exploring, return to the newly renovated, upscale second floor condo which has two bedrooms with queen beds and two full bathrooms with tub/showers. The home is nicely decorated and has beautiful artwork throughout. The modern kitchen is well equipped and has all you need to make your own meals at home. Also included is a laundry room, Wifi, Smart and Cable TV, and Smart Lock. And on those rare days when it gets hot in Bar Harbor, the apartment is completely air conditioned!

Opening in 1932, it has served the town of Bar Harbor as a movie palace ever since, accomodating such prominent families as the Rockefellers on their vacations to nearby Mount Desert Island. Fantastic Stay in Town!

Location was phenomenal especially since the Sandbar is our favorite place. Very large common area and many windows to enjoy the views. Well stocked and comfortable beds.

Nice stay in Bar Harbor

Great location. Very clean. Excellently stocked with basic items plus some unexpected pantry items which were helpful. The perfect place for 4 people to use as a home base for exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor itself.

Perfect location and lovely home

Would, without a doubt, book this listing again. It was perfectly located. Walk to everything. Parking included for a car is clutch. We had no issues and the place was very clean. We enjoyed this stay so much.

Maine Wonders

Very happy with the rental property. Very clean and well equipped with your everyday needs. The location was very nice and close to everything downtown. Able to walk to all of the sights around town. Definitely would rent again in the future.

Loved the property. It was clean and modern and for us, perfectly situated to restaurants and Acadia National Park. We were there 4 nights but it actually wasn’t enough time to do the park justice.Lots of nice walks around town too!

So great!!

We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay here more! This place was a gem. It was walking distance to everything downtown, with big beautiful windows looking out over the strip. It’s a single unit above an office, so it was very quiet. It was very big, very clean and had everything we needed. We are already talking about taking another trip to Bar Harbor, and we will definitely be booking this unit again!

This was a great property. Very centrally located and most everything was within walking distance. The place looked just like the pictures and was very well appointed. The property manager, Bobby, was very responsive and helpful. We had a great time in a beautiful place. I’d definitely stay there again.

Great location & Comfortable Space

The location is walking distance to everything fun in Bar Harbor so you can pop in and out throughout the day! The reserved parking spot is a huge bonus so you can park it, not worry about downtown Bar Harbor parking, and walk places. Really nice space to regroup and relax in the living room/dining area after a fun day of exploring. Additional bonus was the keypad entry so our family could split up and go back and forth without having to worry about a guy.

Great weekend!

We could not have stayed at a better place. The beds were comfortable, the whole apartment was clean, and we had everything we needed. The unit was within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Check in and check out was super easy. The manager was very welcoming and offered any assistance needed. We will definitely stay here again!

This location was the best!! My mom 84 year old could walk to everything and the property was set up perfectly! Extremely well appointed not needing anything! Walk to it all and more even the grocery store was one block away!

It is very clean location is perfect. Everything is walkable. The only thing i would highly suggest and it is a MUST please invest a black out draperies. It would help for the renters to sleep a little longer also it helps cut down the noise outside. Mae June 2024

Fantastic location!! Walk to everything!

Wow! Such a fantastic stay at this loft. Perfect location in downtown Bar Harbor. 5-7 min walk to all restaurants, shops, and pier. 10-12 min drive into Acadia Nat Park. The loft was spotless and so nice and cozy. Beds were super comfy! Each bedroom has its own attached bathroom with bath/shower. Spacious kitchen and dining area. Fast WiFi. Washer/dryer was a great perk! Host was very responsive to texts and Vrbo messages and even provided a high chair for our 9 month old! Parking space right outside the door. 10/10 would stay here again!!

Wonderful!

This apartment was perfect for our first trip to Bar Harbor! The apartment was very clean, well maintained, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed! We found the beds comfortable and there was plenty of room for 4 adults to relax after a day at Acadia. It was right on a main street and we could walk to restaurants, shops, grocery, and bike rental. Perfect for exploring Bar Harbor. Bobby was wonderful to work with. He was responsive to my questions and checked in with us to see how we were doing. He also went above and beyond the call of duty to mail something to us that we left behind! Thank you!

Outstanding location!

The apartment is located on the main drag of Bar Harbor. It’s across the street from the local grocery store and within walking distance to all the great shops and restaurants. A 15 min drive to Acadia too. The town filled up in the evenings with summer tourists and it was nice not to have to battle for parking. Parking was onsite! Easy communication with the property manager. And there were no issues so just friendly check ins. Apt is fully stocked and the washing machine/ dryer was fantastic! My teen boys got pretty dirty in Acadia. Enjoyed the quaint town parade from our front windows on the 4th of July! We’ll be back! Excellent stay!

My family almost never repeats a vacation and usually stays at rental properties. This was our best experience yet. The property is perfectly located. Maybe a 3-4 minute walk to the center of town. The included parking spot was key as parking in bar harbor can be an adventure. Aside from location, the property was exactly as described and very spacious. It was hot and humid the week we were there and we would spend our days hiking in Acadia. Having this nice apartment to come back to at the end of a long day was fantastic. The property manager Bobby was very responsive and checked in on us. We never needed anything because the place was perfect, but I knew he was readily available for anything if we did need him. We had a fantastic vacation here.

Our stay at the ArtNook was outstanding! The property manager, Bobby, was also outstanding. He was always available, and communicated well, making sure we had everything needed. We stayed with friends. The apartment was well equipped, clean, modern, very comfortable, and walking distance to everything in Bell Harbor. Bobby gave us suggestions on things to do, places to go, and restaurants to dine. We did almost everything he suggested, and he nailed it on every suggestion. Everything he recommended was outstanding. We had a perfect vacation, and hope to return to the ArtNook. The only thing we could suggest to improve the apartment, and this is really minor, is that it would be nice to have a full length mirror. Thanks again, Bobby!

Comfortable and convenient

Very spacious apartment with lots of natural lighting, every room has multiple windows. The living room area has two large leather comfortable sofas and about a 70” smart TV. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bedrooms have blackout shades and the bathrooms have nice towels. You feel like you are living in a house, not an apartment. The location could not be better - easy walk to at least 20 restaurants, the harbor and the Vikkage Green where the shuttle buses take you into Acadia National Park. A reserved parking spot which is an invaluable amenity in downtown Bar Harbor. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here. Only thing I would change is the option of having soft pillows for the beds.
