"The cottage was nice, there wasn’t anywhere to sit outside once it rained tho. Also the owners are across the way and kept looking out their windows at us. I have children with me and didn’t appreciate that. Also it looks like you can sit by the water but when we tried, we had to walk through an area where the neighbors dog uses the restroom (so watch for turds) and once we got to where our “chairs” were a bunch of bird alarms kept going off. To the point we felt we were disrupting the people down the way. All around we felt very uncomfortable and almost like a nuisance. The neighbor lady was the only person actually nice to us. If you are coming here to stay around the cottage I’d maybe look for a place more welcoming!"

"We checked in just after 6pm for a 2 night stay. We got a call of a family emergency and had to check to check out 3 hours later. I fully expected to pay for the first night but not the second. The front desk said I needed to contact Expedia to get a refund for the second night because I paid through them. I contacted Expedia while driving home and was told the hotel would not refund the second night. Hmmmm...."

"The hotel lobby looked like a storage area. I'm not sure if they're remodeling or not. The building could use some TLC, but our room seemed to be clean. The breakfast had quite a few options and there was someone keeping things stocked. It reminded me of any Best Western I've ever stayed at, kind of old and worn. The biggest concern for me was the sign on a door next to the lobby that said, "Door is not locked, turn handle and pull." It was a door that should have been locked for after hours entry. This is the second Best Western that I have seen an entry door that isn't locked when it should have been."
