"We arrived late in the evening and required parking, all sorted very quickly. Staff great, hotel was a lovely quirky old building in a beautiful part of the town centre. Beds very comfortable. Would have liked a kettle in the room. Breakfast simple but great, just what we needed before a long drive."

"The room and breakfast included itself was fine. However, the check-in process was absolutely terrible. There was no one manning the desk and they had a machine for a self-check in, but we weren’t given the right reference number so everytime we tried, our reservations were not found. We called for help eventually and after 40 minutes of trying to check in for 2 rooms, we eventually got to the bedrooms and only then we received the correct reference numbers to use for check in. What was the point? Surely we should’ve received that prior to checking in. Not great overall. "

"I made a reservation for a family room seven months in advance as this was our forth visit to this hotel. I checked in online and there was no change to our booking. Upon arrival we were told that there had been a technical issue and our family room wasn’t available???? There was no apology or further explanation we were just put in two separate rooms which obviously wasn’t what we booked! Or how we wished it to be! We are more than disappointed and doubtful we will return again. "
