Pedro, the manager of the property was great. Very friendly and the rooms were very clean. However, the rate paid through Expedia apparently does NOT include a $2 Euro per night per person fee. In addition, the property description mentions free parking. There is no parking on the premises, and while there is some free parking on the street, it is VERY hard to find.

Great location and service
Small room, tiny bathroom, no frills, off-site parking on the street, but excellent location, not even a block away from the closest metro station and just a few blocks from several restaurants and cafes. In addition, the owner was super nice and very helpful. And the breakfast coffee was delicious!

the room is exactly as pictured. it is close to the metro station but even so, it’s out farther then i would have liked, it was at least two trains to get anywhere. it is close to shops and restaurants though, like two blocks.

Good enough to stay in Bcn
We stayed there for 6 nights. It was a bit pity that we couldn't use the kitchen for proper cooking but they provided hot water, tea, coffee and microwave. The owner was super friendly and helpful. They made our stay pleasant. It was just in front of a metro(subway) station, so it was easy to get to Bcn centre. The room was small but it was enough to put 3 people's stuff and sleep. Hot, strong shower. They clean the room everyday. Breakfast was good. Especially coffee. The best hostel coffee I've ever tried. We'd like to stay there again if we are back to Bcn.

We had a very bad experience in Barcelona and at this hotel as well. The hostel condition was not as explained or pictured. It was not value for money.

Great manager - fantastic
The manager is going absolutely great, doing everything from check-in, check-out and breakfast, such energy ! Fantastic. We had to cancel and go one day early which he agreed nicely, thank you very much at this high season time. You can enjoy the roof top terrace and table-tennis table. The parking is just 7 minutes walk from the hotel and free. Nearby there is a street where you can enjoy tapas, the area is very safe. Unfortunately it was noisy due to next room

2 nights with a friend to visit Barcelona
The Hostel was a very good choice, not expensive and 1 minutes from underground, or 8 minutes from downtown. The breakfast was huge and the coffee very good. The terasse at top flor was clean and offer a great view with gardens. The room were clean. The only thing is that because the corridor is narrow and long, it is sometimes noisy when people pass through the corridor. Good choice.

The owner of this place, Peter, is an Extremely, Extremely, frugal person to say it nicely. Did not expect much, even worse than I expected, room was not very clean, we had to clean and wipe the bathroom ourselves. Also extremely small, half the size of your college dorm room. Breakfast was extremely small and simple, and he charges you for extra breakfast, everything has an extra charge, because again, he's the most frugal person you'll ever meet! DO NOT recommend this place!

Arrived here and was pleasantly surprised. Its a very good hostel, clean throughout, with good facilities and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Close to metro station (1minute). Will definately stay again and recommend to people. A*

Practical and economical accommodation
Albergue Studio Hostel is simple and inexpensive accommodation located about 15 minutes from the centre of Barcelona by metro. We had a small room with a VERY small en-suite (but some other rooms have shared bathrooms). The beds were basic and comfortable enough. The room was painted in cheerful colours, and everything was very clean. The bedding was adequate (sheets and blankets and a comfy pillow). Room service is daily, but it was limited to airing the room and emptying the bin - if you want your bed made, you do it yourself. Breakfast was included. It consisted of a glass of orange juice, half a baguette (with butter plus jam and chocolate spread), a plastic-wrapped cake and tea/coffee. The owner was very friendly, cheerful and helpful - happy to give us maps and advice. The guests were mostly young couples or families. It was quiet at night (no loud partying while we were there), except that the doors in the corridoor sometimes banged at night. A fridge and microwave were available for guest use, so you could prepare simple meals if you wanted. Guests could use the dining area, a lounge area with TV, and the roof terrace. We would recommend this hostel to anyone travelling on a budget.

We stayed there for 4 nights, for the price we think it's a bargain as later we realised how expensive Barcelona is. We stayed in a twin bed room with private bathroom. The room and bathroom are very clean and they did clean the room every day. The breakfast we very good again, simple but filling. You get a glass of nice taste orange juice, 1/2 french stick, a mini muffin and choice of coffee or tea. Also on the table there individully packed jam, chocolate spread and butter. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the location can't be any better, only very very short walk from underground station. Most of night were nice and quiet apart from one, but don't forget, it's a 'hostel', it's supposed to attract young people who travel in budget to stay there, so we knew what to expect. If we are to travel to barcelona again, will defo choice Albergue again.

Great place for a short stay
Rooms are very clean and tidy, but small as this is a Hostel. Our three bed room two bunks and one more single was adequate for a two night stay. It had en-suite bathroom which was small. There are communal areas, dining room for breakfast (provided), roof terrace, two PCs available near reception and wi-fi throughout. No eating or drinking allowed in the rooms. Overall as described. As they say - a place to sleep not to party... Location is good, lovely town centre & Metro just a short walk away with plenty of pubs and restaurants.

Отличный отель, недорогой и удобно расположен.
Отличный недорогой отель с завтраком и прекрасным хозяином. Расположен близко к метро, автобусу и генеральному консульству РФ Достаточно близко магазины, кафе, рестораны Номер чистый, все необходимое есть. С удовольствием остановлюсь еще, если вновь возникнет потребность посещения консульства.

Fajne miejsce do wypadów po Barcelonie
Fantastyczni właściciele. Małe pokoje, ale z łazienką. Czyste i zadbane. Śniadanie niestety, po którym nasz brzuch na pewno nie będzie miał siły na cały dzień (pół bagietki, kawa, babeczka, dżemy, masło). Warto się zaopatrzyć dodatkowo w swoje pieczywo :) Pobyt przyjemny, warto się w tym miejscu na pewno zatrzymać jeśli celem jest aktywne zwiedzanie, i tylko nocleg w obiekcie.

Die Herberge ist absolut zu empfehlen, wenn man mit Basics zufrieden ist. Die Heizung funktioniert gut und es gibt eine Dachterrasse. Die Gegend ist top. Pedro ist super nett und alles war sauber. Ob der Preis im Mai von 79 Euro für 2 Personen gerechtfertigt ist, muss jeder selbst entscheiden.
