Easy parking on site, extremely helpful staff, I was kindly given a print out of the local bus schedules. The grounds are small and well kept and so peaceful. I would book again.

I did like the bed was comfortable, the shower was perfect , they clean the room every day but quiet late in during the day…… by the last 2 days we found a new member of the staff very helpful and professional in the rest they were unprofessional! I recommend this hotel more for the weekend not for longer period!

The hotel can not be categorised as a 4 start, rather a 2.5-3 start. The hotel room was not very clean, the basics were not provided unless asked for. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Really gorgeous hotel in a lovely little town just outside Barcelona. Cleanliness was fab, the staff were kind and helpful. The restaurant is a little expensive but the food was delicious, but the local wine served was a particular highlight. The pool and garden was lovely to relax in under the sun. Make sure you take the bus and visit the beach at el masnou if you visit this hotel!

Very nice beds. Extremely comfortable. However, walls were thin, can hear neighboring toilets flushing very loudly, maids at work. No tissues in room, shower products hard to use, minimal tv channels. No windows that open. Parking lot was a challenge. Pool not very warm.

The Wi Fi coverage was very good, as was the TV facility, but it would have been good to have had a kettle in the room for those who prefer tea top coffee

This hotel was great. Beautiful hotel but wish I knew it closer to Barcelona. Expedia said it was in Barcelona but was actually a 40 euro taxi outta town.

We felt welcomed. The staff helped us, the waiters/waitresses were accmodating. The room was spacious,clean, comfortable. The town is nice , easy to get to Barcelona by bus. The breakfast was plenty and filling. The surroundings are well kept , wonderful.

Tranquil hidden gem with outstanding restaurant
This lovely, quaint hotel is set 30 minutes outside of central Barcelona in between mountains and the sea in the peaceful town/village of Alella. It is the ideal escape for those wishing to enjoy a more relaxed, slow-paced sojourn with their romantic partner. The staff are very welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. As expected in a provincial area not all staff are proficient in English, and why should they be, so we communicated as best we could recall from GSCE Spanish which brought further bonhomie between us and the team at the Hotel Arrey-Alella, who are patient and charming. Our room was as seen in the photos, not large, and one should perhaps bear in mind the shower-WC is walled from the bedroom by only a pane of glass. But one does not come here to be cooped up in the room. There are glorious mountains and the seaside to explore in the sunshine (29 degrees at end of September), or just laze by the pool. The town of Alella is a 10 minute casual stroll from the hotel and is compact enough to walk around every tapas restaurant in a couple of hours, taking your time. The local people are very friendly too. The wine is stupendous and, happily, cheap. If you wish to spend the day in Barcelona the bus stop is directly outside the hotel and runs hourly, or you could take a longer walk by the sea to use the metro. Or just stay in the beautifully tranquil confides of the hotel. The restaurant is fairly priced for the outstanding food served and it is the best in the area.

Excellent Modern Hotel
This is an excellent modern hotel. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and the only thing we were not particularly keen on was the see-through glass partitioned toilet and shower though there was a curtain to pull across the outside of the shower. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and we simply couldn't fault the restaurant, where the food was superb. In terms of location, it was cheaper and a lot quieter than staying in Barcelona where we would have paid more for a hotel with a lower star rating. This has to be balanced against the time and distance involved in getting in to the city - a journey of about 21km. Travel isn't much of a problem though. We easily caught the E19 bus from a stop a couple of minutes away (simply turn left out of the hotel for a short but pretty steep walk to the bus stop). Coming back was a little more difficult as it took us a while to work out where the bus stop was, a problem made worse when on our first day buses were diverted to different locations because of road closures for a public holiday during which Catalan national celebrations and marches were taking place throughout the city. On a couple of occasions we travelled back by taxi (of which there were many) which was more costly but not extortionate. We found it useful to take one of the hotel business cards from reception to show to the taxi driver as most of them had no idea where Alella was. All in all, we would highly recommend the Arrey-Alella.

Very nice hotel in a quiet area.
Superb hotel with great staff set in a very nice area 30 minutes from Barcelona by train / taxi The hotel is new only opened 12 months ago, the rooms are very good . fitted to a high specification , with modern units etc. The staff are very nice and nothing is too much trouble for them, the food is very good, and a good selection of wines / beers from the bar

My mother and I had a super stay at Hotel Arrey in Alella. The staff were extremely helpful, the room spotless, and a good location. Yes, the motorway is pretty close but I felt it rarely intruded on our lazing about. The gardens are so well maintained that I could forget about the world outside. Breakfasts were lovely - plenty to eat. The restaurant was expensive but it was quality food. I loved our tapas and the paella was one of the best I have ever had. Would I stay again? You bet! It's a little gem!

Amazing hotel and staff
we had a very nice experience. the hotel is very nice and clean, staffs are super amazing, caring and helpful, there's is a bus station next to hotel that takes you to Barcelona city center in 20 minutes The staffs were so helpful they answered every question we had and helped us to find all the attractions and explained everything to us. The breakfast was very healthy and nice, there's a beautiful restaurant in the hotel with a very reasonable price. We had an emergency situation back home and had to go back home earlier than we planed and the staff helped us so much and they supported us like a family, for sure I'm going back and stay in this hotel again

Nice Hotel close to the beach
Lovely Hotel located in a peaceful and quiet village called Alella in the outskirts of Barcelona. Excellent panoramic views of surrounding mountains and village from the Hotel. Hotel grounds itself is well kept and very clean. Our room was immaculate and facilities were second to none. The staff were also very friendly and helpful especially Erica. The only issue I had was the size of the basic room booked with my package and the see-through perspex of the shower/toilet within the room itself. Once I expressed my concerns about this to staff, I was upgraded to a bigger room with a separate shower/toilet. Apart from this, the hotel is fabulous and I plan to return very soon.
