AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Was a basic hostel charging hotel prices. Only a bed and a broken tv in room,that did get fixed and room wasn't cleaned until day before I left. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WOULDN'T RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Good for a budget stay just above a hostel. Location is great though close to trains and walkable to la Rambla etc. unfortunately renovations were being done so very noisy. Staff could have been more friendly and accommodating also.

Good location and safe hotel. It's really just a room with tv and a clean bathroom. No phone or hotel service. But overall, it's good and lots of restaurants and laundry in the area.

Weekend away
Arrived 3 hours before check in to try & see if a room was ready after a super long morning. Greeted with a beaming smile & a beautiful room ready for me & my friend with an amazing bathroom! (Room 506). Staff are always friendly, location is brilliant, & rooms have been renovated to a beautiful standard. See you again soon!

Yesterday’s pensio
Hotel has no chairs to sit in, room terribly small and barely could turn around, covers on bed stained, had to put luggage on spare bed because no floor space or rack to hold luggage. Husband frustrated no place to relax at end of busy day...would not stay there,again nor recommend it.

Non-working shower, little concern
I stayed on the top floor in one of the newer renovated rooms, and was quite spacious and comfortable for the price. I had a bit of a hassle with the check-in ladies as they argued with me about only making a reservation for one when there was two of us. It was cleared up as the printout they had from Hotels.com clearly stated two people. When I woke in the morning I found the shower did not work. The showerhead was so clogged it just poured out water in a straight line, basically just a hole in the ceiling which splashed water all over the bathroom. Shower curtain was too short. And to add to that at 6AM before my flight there was zero warm water. I washed my hair on the way out and was given zero concern for the issue when I checked out. Room is great for the price of you get one with a working shower!

Just a bed..
If you need just a place to sleep and maybe get a shower out of the way then this place would do. The front desk staff were nice about answering questions and the check in and check out process was smooth. We had a room on the ground floor. The room had two beds taking up most of the space in the room, no air conditioning; which would have been fine if the windows had actually opened to some air from outside instead of the supply closet that the staff used at 6:00 AM every morning. Needless to say our room was mostly hot especially after taking a shower. The shower was just big enough your could stand and maybe wash your hair. It was easier to get wet and then step out to soap and step back in to rinse. The electricity only worked when the light was on so if you need to charge a phone or battery it needed to be done before sleeping or sleep with the light on. There was only one outlet in the entire room including bathroom/WC.

Bit disappointing
Location convenient. Air conditioning by request, only on or off no control. Lack of power sockets and if not careful only worked when lights on. Myriad of switches that did not appear to do anything. No info in room about anything. Staff very helpful - switched room after one night in room next to housekeeping open store. This was only room with more modern tv. In other room of our booking only very fuzzy tv - not able to entertain 2 yr old. Could do with having freee secure wifi in room not just lobby.

Great location poor building
Our first room was awful. No natural light though good water pressure. There was a leak in the roof whilst we were out, we were moved straight away but they left the leak pouring in to our room so our belongings got wet. The second room was much nicer, though the shower was very weak. It was always clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout and the location is excellent.

Worst hotel ever
The hotel is an active construction site. The floor in my room was grey from concrete dust. The air quality was so poor I should have had a face mask. they put me on the same floor as the men cutting tile. The air was grey with dust. The room shouldn't be legal. I am pretty sure it's a health code violation.

Run don't Walk Away from this hotel
From the minute you walked in the front door it was construction stuff in the small lobby then they check you when I go to the room as soon as I got to the room I noticed a foul odor coming from in the bathroom which made entire room smell really bad the wallpaper is on the wall was peeling off and the door lock was a little tiny bolt. Every time you leave you have to give your room key to the front desk is the most weird thing I've ever noticed.

Very convenient, central hotel.
True the walls are a little thin but we heard little noise. The location is brilliant but you need to go to Plaza Catalunya to get the Aerobus back. Wonderful friendly staff. Would certainly stay again. Excellent value when other hotels were extremely expensive.

central location
missed our flight on the way home so needed somewhere cheap to stay, for £20 can't really complain you get what you pay for. however the lifts were like from 90's with the cage and you pull the door, a tv in the corner of the room from the 90's and i couldnt get into the bed so i slept ontop. im not a fussy person as im a 19 year old student but i was desperate to have a bed for the night.

Budget hotel Ideal for traveler with low budget
The hotel was perfect for a traveler with a low budget it is not five stars hotel but you can sleep there and continue to travel. The location is close to everything, public transportation convenience store and many restaurants. The room was small but clean with a very small bathroom and very old tv but who want to watch a Tv on vacation to abroad. Nobody. I can recommend it

Good enough to crash for a night
I booked this room as a last minute thing so I can't complain too much, although the price is something of a reach for what you get. The room is clean enough, the bedding is old and needs to be updated. The bathroom is nice. Very old building with thin walls so you can head your neighbours. also the doors don't feel very solid. But the desk staff are very friendly!

Worst experience ever!!!
When I booked this hotel I didn´t have much expectation as it´s in central area and quite cheap but it was probably the worst accomodation I ever had on any holiday. No heating control in the room (as advertised on the website) unless you require at the receiption, even though they switch it off after an hour. Shower space and conditions are very poor. The night lady reception Lola is always moody, rude and unhelpful. After three days out of 7 we decided to leave the hotel, we booked somewhere else Good luck at Miami Pension to the ones who still decide to book with them.

Hotel Miami is very well located. It is a small but clean hotel with very friendly staff. The main problem is the lack of internet in the rooms, lack of communication from room to front desk or phone to outside world . TV's are old and not working in some rooms. The rooms are very tiny but if you aren't planning to stay long or have lots of luggage you can make do for the price.

No frills guest house
Quite hard to find but so handy for the main shopping centre and pubs etc. Bed was very uncomfortable and even though we were at the rip so away from the street the lift kept us awake and woke us up too early. All in all a nice wee place but you get what you pay for

Friendly host, good location for reasonable price
We liked that staff suggested us to see show at Palacio de Flamenco and booked seats, it was great! They can share useful information. Staff spoke english with no problems, you can't be sure at every local business there. 24/7h reception desk was comfortable. Check-out early, but they hold baggage till our plane left. Lot of streetnoise came trough, main streets are near, but not a big problem. Wifi not very stable, but free computers to use at reception. Always warm water at shower, nice bathroom!

Cheap and Cheerful- had a great time!
You get what you pay for right. This hotel was very cheap and the area and hotel is a bit run down. But we knew that when booking at it and looking at the reviews. It met all my expectations and the staff made my stay very comfortable. If you're using a hotel to simply sleep in then the location was blooming amazing!

This is a great hotel to stay in if you don't plan on being in your room that much. It's very reasonably priced, central and easy to get to from the airport and has very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are extremely small and sparse with hardly any amenities at all but are clean and secure. However we spent most of our time exploring the city and only used the room to lay our weary heads to rest at the end of the day, shower and store our stuff. As mentioned it is in a very central location and things can get noisy, especially on weekends, so if you're a light sleeper this may not be the place for you. It's certainly not lavish but it affords more privacy than a hostel for about the same price.

Prime location but no frills
We chose this hotel for it's low cost and prime location and on that basis we were not disappointed. The hotel is located within 2 min walking distance from Universitad Metro Station and 15 min walking distance to Catalunya Square and to the La Ramblas area. The first impression was not great because the immediate neighbourhood environs were frequented by people hanging around smoking / drinking but they didn't trouble us. The hotel is very basic with the bare essentials. The Reception staff were all very friendly and helpful and there is a supermarket next door with the cheapest goods in the neighbourhood. A good platform to sight see Barcelona if you don't expect too much from a hotel apart from clean sheets. Only negative aspect is that sound proofing isn't great so that can make sleep difficult at times.

Affordable, but not what I expected
Room was much different then the one booked and on picture (but didn't complained cause that was short stay). First night I was freezing, no heating whatsover, next day after hearing other guests complaining, realized only if you ask, they can control heating from reception (shouldn't ask, it was one of the coldest weeks in year), so second night that was sorted. No internet in room, and no signal for my roaming data inside the room (fine outside of hostel) , only internet downstairs at PC (not iPhone), at high fees, once again not free. Shower unpleasant (head fixed), TV only once channel (no remote) and when asked one of the lady on reception to get hot water (needed to buy it) to make myself coffee in room, she looked at me like asked for I don't know what, her customer services skills were zero, not willing to do not just extra but just nothing for customer. Wasn't the best experience at all, but only because I stayed 2 nights, I stayed quiet, otherwise would definitely look elsewhere. It done the job, but just. Clean, great location but not good experience in all. But one light and bright thing which made me feel happy was other receptionist, called Lola. She is amazing, fantastic spirit, helpfull, friendly and just great person. For her anything what I asked (and that was preety much to heat cup of water) was completely different - yes, no problem smile. Thanks Lola!

The receptionist on the first night was frightening! Room was basic but clean. Good mattress on bed. Good location. First day we had 2 sachets of shower gel but the following days only one so we had to ask for more. There was also only 1 hair dryer in the hotel so had to ask for it & return it as soon as finished with. The plug was also dodgy as you had to try & hold it in with your elbow whilst trying to dry your hair. Overall I wouldn't go back.

The pension was very reasonably priced - hence the reason for the choice, but not easy to locate. The staff were very friendly, spoke reasonable English. The rooms were small and noisy from fellow guests, but the standard of cleanliness was very satisfactory. The best feature was its location, very near to the centre

A decent place to crash for the night.
Pretty decent hotel for the price, excellent central location, friendly and helpful staff with a reception desk that was manned 24/7. Probably not a hotel you'd take the Mrs for a romantic weekend, down a side street, not the greatest of views from the window etc., but if you're like us, two lads visiting Barcelona to watch football and have a few beers in the evening, this hotel was pretty much ideal for what we needed. Room, although a bit small, was cleaned and fresh towels provided every day - can't complain really for the price paid.
