"The front desk guy overnight was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Main lobby clean. However, our bedding had a lot of hair and a small dried puddle of blood on it. I never leave bad reviews but this was really bad."

"They were welcome to pets, but the place smelled like urine. Our bed comforter, especially had to get new sheets from front desk."

"Loved this hotel! Front desk staff were so nice, and accommodating to our needs. They had a manual wheelchair so I didn't have to lug the one from our car just to get around the hallways. The room was squeaky clean and well updated. I booked a single room for an overnight stay and did not expected it to be so large and well appointed. Breakfast was also very good. Area has lots of easy dining options, and there is a Sam's very close by in case you use their gas! Highly recommend this place!"

"We were two couples exploring the Bourbon trail between Louisville and Lexington. We enjoyed our stay at this historic hilltop retreat. Furnishings are comfortable. Main floor bathroom is not connected to the bedroom. We did not cook, but kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed sunny evenings on the large porch. Our host lives next door and was very responsive. "
