"Excellent location and very friendly host"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at La Bastide de Moustiers. Our room was cosy, the attention to details given to the fixtures and fittings of the room was exceptional and gave a very luxurious Provençal touch. Although the staff was happy to reserve a table for us at the highly rated Ducasse restaurant, we didn’t not dine there, however it is a significant plus to top up the luxurious Provençal experience. We enjoyed spending time by the pool although it would have been more enjoyable had the pool been heated. Overall a very comfortable and luxurious stay. "

"This auberge is situated in the centre of Castellane, with a river at the rear that you can swim in. The breakfast was varied and there was plenty of it, lovely staff who were very friendly and helpful. There is a large rear shaded terrace which was quiet snd you could relax have a drink. Castellane has a friendly, busy but relaxed vibe, plenty to see and do. I would definitely stay again. Ask for a room on the rear so that it is hidden from the buzz of the square. "
