"We stayed for two nights and liked the fact that towels, bedding and housekeeping were changed and cleaned on a request basis only. Also, the restaurant next door had great drinks."

"This older property is still attractive, although slightly run down. The rooms have character with high ceilings and traditional wood furniture. We were comfortable. The shower was great with good water pressure and very hot water. The pool was very pretty, but looked too murky for swimming. (We later drove up the road to enjoy a nice restaurant with a swimming pool.) Coffee and pastries were provided. The location is excellent. It was reasonably priced. We would not hesitate to stay here again."

"La propiedad fue muy difícil de encontrar. La dirección que dan no funciona. Me dieron por whatsapp un pin de locación y esa funcionó para llegar. Al ser dados la habitación estaba sucia. El baño tenía pelos y orín en el inodoro, no había agua caliente y el cuarto hace mucho calor, con solo un ventilador pequeño. Las sábanas estaban manchadas y curtidas. "We stayed one night while visiting Malinalco and Chalma and it was just right for us. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Area was quiet as it was away from the center of town. One thing to be aware of is that you have a bit of an uphill walk from the center of town to the hotel. Would stay here again!"

"Im currently at the hotel as I write this. When we first arrived, reception said they opened the windows to our room because it was stuffy prior to us getting here. Theres no air conditioning the ceiling fan doesnt work. Its hot in the room, the windows are open but the windows dont have springs so the mosquitoes are getting in, There are currently 2 people sitting outside my window talking and its 2:20 am. There is not a single mirror in the room, not even in the bathroom. Idk if its the...

Fiesta Americana Hacienda Ixtapan de La Sal

"We had a nice few days with my husband and mother. However, the adult pool needs cleaning and the food (snacks - ceviche) we ordered in the pool was not what we expected. Perhaps, it is the way they do that in Ixtapan. They exchanged it for another dish but it was not to our taste (meat of Pepito was not of good quality). Other than that, the staff were great. We had an extra bed brought in at no cost. Food in restaurant was great too. Perhaps check if there are still doing renovations when you go as the noise of the drill was a bothersome in the early afternoon when we ate there. It got solved when we moved to eat in the terrace, beautiful sights to the mountains and chant of birds. "
