400-Year-Old Stone House In Lovely Medieval Market Village - Dordogne SW France
8/10 Good
"The house and garden are great and recently renovated on the ground floor but retain old charm on other floors. It is a quiet location in the village but easy to access anywhere. The house is very old and has ancient wooden spiral stairs to all floors, which I found difficult, especially to the top floor as there is a very large step; young children and anyone with leg issues may struggle. As may not be clear from the details the only toilet and bathroom are on the ground floor. This is an ideal base to explore the village and the area, everything in the village is a very short walk away on the flat. The free car park is a minutes walk as is the Spa shop, with bakery, bars cafes and restaurants 2 minutes away. The village comes alive on a Sunday for the market and then needs a couple of days to get over it when it is very quiet. The owners have done an exhaustive guide to the house and area and responded very quickly to any queries."

10/10 Excellent
"Was on a cycling trip from England to Spain. Needed a proper bed for the night. Booked the day before.
The hotel is new it appears.
Arrived and parked my bicycle in their secure garage. Given a very clean and comfortable room with an extremely comfortable bed. So good I didn't want to leave it.
The hotel has a swimming pool which I didn't use but others were.
I ate in the restaurant/ bar area. Salmon and rice was very good and reasonably priced.
I have never stayed in original city hotels before but after my experience I would definitely consider them in the future."
"We had a lovely stay. We chose to stay here because we wanted somewhere our dog could come and go without having to worry about traffic and other people and it was perfect. House is immaculate, well equipped and comfortable beds. It is in a very quiet area. 8km to the nearest suoermarket but if you want a quiet, relaxing holiday it is perfect. We visited Bordeaux and Toilouse both about 2 hours away and some small towns nearby as well"
