"The pictures are deceiving. Positive thing is that the room is spacious and AC is fantastic. Everything else is something to criticize on. I.e a ton of mosquitos, washroom is full of stains, the doors to the bathroom doesn’t close properly making mosquitos to fly into the room through the bathroom. The bed had mattress cover but no blankets whatsoever and had to explicitly request one, which showed up as if a few cats picked a fight in it. "

The brother & sister who manage the property are in touch with technology making them very helpful for what's going on in Anuradhapura & helping with things to do in the area. The garden is so beautiful making the property feel tropical & peaceful in a very busy city. The Ivy Lake is very central to the Old Town, the lake, bus station & the train station, perfect to be walkable to everything. The room is very convenient with a rare refrigerator, great shower & comfy bed, everything a traveller needs. There is a superb coffee shop that the youngsters have with all meals available. Well done Ivy Lake, we highly recommend you to all visitors to Anuradhapura."

The manager and staff were very courteous and helpful and the manager was able to arrange a Safari at late notice and a tuktuk guide for the ancient city.
