Staff very accommodating. Ate dinner in restaurant our first night. Had an 8:30 reservation; it was 10 when we received our food. Beautiful lounge area on second floor where our room was located, but far too hot to sit in. Air conditioner kept off, but property gets rising and setting sun. Room very spacious. Firm bed is great if that’s your preference.

Ideal hotel to relax and spend some time with the family. Very friendly staff, good spa facilities, great service and food at the restaurant. My 5 year old loved everything and wants to go back!

Batalha business trip
My stay at Villa Batalha was very good as usual, rooms are good, hotel staff are friendly and it was convenient for my business trip. I have used Villa Batalha in the past and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Villa Batalha, having booked on line. This is a great hotel in a small town. It has generous sized rooms and bathrooms, with plenty of large public sitting areas. The magnificent Batalha Monastery is within walking distance.

Great place to stay
Surprisingly very modern hotel in such a historic old area. Perfect stop on a road trip because there's no need to leave the hotel. We had a wonderful dinner here in the buffet breakfast was plentiful. Very comfortable rooms and beds with beautiful bathrooms including roomie tiled showers and bidets. Lots of outlets thoughtfully place for easy access for charging technology. Great pillows. Everything about the rooms was well designed Warning, it's also very popular with bus loads of tour groups, so try to get to meals before a huge group sweeps in on it, the breakfast buffet was like watching ants at a picnic ...

Amazing hotel with amazing staff! Would easily stay again. Our room was huge with lots of space the bed was very large as well. However the TV was not great only had a few channels that actually worked but spoke to the reception about this and they are to bring a new system in soon to get a better channels for their clients. Shame only indoor pool as well because they is a huge space on the roof or in the back that could have an out door pool which would complete this amazing hotel! I will be staying here again on next visit to Portugal

Good hotel let down by very firm bed.
My wife and me used the hotel as a base to visit this town and the surrounding area. Modern hotel with ample free parking, pool, jacuzzi etc. tennis court and facilities for golfers (pitch & putt). The continental breakfast was good. We eat in the restaurant one evening. The menu and wine list was reasonable both in price and selection. I must say the quality of the meal was very good but because so few were using the dining area it lacked atmosphere. Our only gripe was the bed was very firm (and we like a firm bed) to the point of being uncomfortable, thus not a good night's sleep. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Definitely Recommended
It´s a new hotel so all the facilities are brand new and in perfect condition. The rooms are very comfortable. I highly recommend it. However the spa is not good. Sauna was very cold (65 degrees), the turkish bath was not working and the water in swimming pool was too cold for winter. Also you have to pay for spa and internet which is not that pleasant.

Design of hotel is minimalist but extremely welcoming with the comfortable meeting space on each floor. We sat there and drank until 4am, it was a lovely and surprisingly private space. The furnishings were grand but felt homely with books and trinkets filling the shelves. Room & bathroom was spectacular and clean. Location was perfect also, right across from the monastery.

Der Empfang war schon sehr, sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr gut sortiert. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen.
